Additional Information

You have wonderful quaint self contained accommodation, offering a fresh clean and comfortable environment, a wood fire is fitted for winter ambience and warmth.
While the hut is small and suited for two, it’s high timber ceilings give the feeling of space, windows all round offer a light, bright atmosphere.

There are board games, TV and video, a blue tooth enabled sound system for your enjoyment.
The QS bed has a top quality Orthopedic mattress and topper for your comfort, quality linen and towels are provided.
The kitchenette is kitted out with everything one needs to make their stay easy.

Terip Terip is situated high in the hills of the Victorian Central Highlands, you can choose to “Stay In”, do little and enjoy the hut, animals and serenity or use it as a base to visit the wineries, vineyards, small country surrounding towns, ride the close rail trail or visit lakes and mountains a short drive away.

As Hee Haw Hut is part of Amelia Rise Donkeys at Hee Haw Farm visitors will get to interact with our 14 donkeys who browse freely through our 80 acre property.
You can have as much or as little interaction with the donkeys as you wish.
A brush and glove are supplied at the hut for grooming, something the donkeys just looove.

Your closet neighbours are your hosts Deb and John, who’s home is approx 160 m out of sight and mind.
The hut and surrounding land is for you to use. A parking space is next to the unit for your vehicle.
Once you have booked in there is seperate entry and exit gates next to the hut.
The whole idea of Hee Haw Hut is to give our visitors a quiet peaceful place to get away, to have some time out from the rat race, quiet time for reflection, a romantic getaway.
We will be available if needed, happy to socialise n chat if wanted.

Living high up in the hills we do have varying weather conditions.
Always pays to have a jumper and some warm long pants, and in winter a waterproof coat or jacket.
A pair of toed shoes, boots or sand shoes are good to have as ground is rough and dusty or wet and donkeys can be a bit careless with where they stand at times.

Donkeys are always dusty so best to bring clothing you don’t mind getting lightly soiled.
While we push the point about peace...quiet and serenity, donkeys do bray, not constantly but randomly so your peace will be broken occasionally by some very loud eeeyors.!
As we are totally off grid there are times a generator runs for back up power.

Such an amazing place run by two lovely hosts! We had an amazing time - incredible cabin with everything you’d need for a weekend away, not to mention amazing views and some very friendly donkeys. Deb and John were very communicative and helpful, making the stay even more pleasant!...

From communication with the booking to the day we arrived, we were blown away.
Considering my partner had no idea where we were going, she was in love and would recommend to anyone needing an escape from the real world.
