ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE
We will attend your check-in anytime between 2PM-8PM and check-out is at your convenience anytime before or at 12 NOON.

PHILOSOPHY
We resolve to LEAVE NO TRACE wherever possible and hope you will be careful to take all rubbish and recycling with you. This includes human waste. If you need us to provide you with a composting toilet please add it to your booking because we take seriously the preservation of this pristine bushland.

WATER
Our only source of water is rainwater, so any efforts to conserve our water will be greatly appreciated.

EXTRA GUESTS & VISITORS
We provide you with a secluded experience thus no day visitors or extra overnight guests are permitted.

ACCIDENTS
We understand accidents may happen however damage, unintentional or otherwise, is the responsibility of guests and repair or replacement costs will be sort from booking guest.

RUBBISH
Our property does not have council garbage collection, so bare this in mind when packing and cooking at Wombat Ridge. We ask you to please take your rubbish and recycling with you. If you are unable to comply, collection can be arranged for an extra cost of $38 per 55L bag. Also on you way home please don’t dump your waste in neighbouring bins. They too pay to have their waste collected by the litre, as do we.

HOUSEKEEPING
Please make sure to clean and return items to how you found them. Thank you!

BUSHFIRE
We are surrounded by dense bush and in extreme weather likely to produce dangerous bushfire conditions we reserve the right to cancel your booking for your own safety. You will receive a refund or rescheduled dates. Your choice! During this period please do not leave people on the property without transportation. We also recommend that you download the RFS’s app called FIRES NEAR ME which will keep you informed about any fire activity and has local alerts.

TOTAL FIRE BAN DAYS
During a Total Fire Ban day no cooking is allowed at the lookout but guests may use BBQ facilities next to the main house.

HAVING A FIRE
During the bushfire season no outdoor fires are allowed in the fire pit. Fires at other times are at the direction and discretion of the owner. The Pavilion’s wood stove can be used year round except on days of TOTAL FIRE BAN! Please do not use oil, wet or green wood in the wood stove. You are free to bring your own wood, or we can supply you with a bag at cost or you can cut and collect your own wood, there’s ample in the area if you don’t mind doing some work (saw and hand axe provided, use at own risk).

HIGH WINDS
Due to the exposed location of the lookout and number of trees we recommend sleeping in the cabin during periods of high winds.

CHILDREN
We are unable to accommodate children.

NO SMOKING
We would prefer no smoking. However smokers may smoke only in their cars so long as they do not discard ash or cigarettes in the bush.

Have I forgotten something? Email me anytime with any questions... or to secure your dates!

Bucketty
2Listings
We moved to Bucketty, where's Bucketty? EXACTLY! We wanted a different pace of life. We love living surrounded by the bush and all its inhabitants. We love the smells, the absolute peace, although it's not always quiet (thanks to the countless birds, frogs, night-time digging of our wombat and one dog that snores). The move has truly changed our lives for the better. We hope you'll come and experience it too.
