Bedford and Bunker
We converted "Robert Bedford" the Bedford Bus using as many recycled materials as possible and keeping eco principles in mind. It is a simple but comfortable space to relax in, with a unique vibe. Wake up to an incredible view of the famous Kangaroo Valley escarpments, have your morning coffee in the paddock and enjoy an evening wine sitting under festive lights....
Features and Amenities
- Check in after 3pmCheck out before 10am
- Weekday minimum booking: 2 nightsWeekend minimum booking: 2 nights
The bus has everything you need: a fridge and single-burner cooktop for cooking, plus toaster and kettle. There's a hot shower and a chemical toilet like those you would find in an RV. (We run on beautiful fresh rain water so please be conscious of water usage.) The bus has air-conditioning and heating, or you can open the windows to catch the delightful through-breezes.
Outside, a fire pit, some lounge chairs and a small BBQ provides that country ambience. If the weather turns bad, you can bunker down indoors in the cosy bus and enjoy the sound of rain falling on the roof.
We provide 100% organic cotton sheets and towels, eco-friendly soap, shampoo, tea and coffee. There is a comfortable, plush queen bed in the bedroom and a fold out sofa bed in the living area. The bus is better suited for children over the age of six due to the bus being a bit delicate and a few square edges here and there.
Our beautiful bus is very comfortable. Like all vintage spaces, it has its quirks; please be aware of these. We describe a stay here as ‘bus-king’: not quite camping, not quite cottage.
Please note there is no wifi but very good mobile and 4G reception.
The bus has a paddock all of its own! There's a farm gate and driveway directly to where the bus lives. The area around the neighbouring houses are not included in this listing.

The Local Area
Kangaroo Valley is often described as one of the most beautiful towns in NSW with its incredible escarpments, creeks, rivers and farms. It's the perfect place for some time away to reconnect with everything. The Valley offers bushwalking, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, horse riding, cycling, mountain biking, quaint shops and top quality food. The bus is located in Barrengarry which is the northern end of Kangaroo Valley.
Other things to note
The bus is located in a paddock all of its own on a family farm. You may see our family out and about on the farm from time to time - riding our horses or doing some weeding! Feel free to say hi! There is also a house behind the bus which is currently under construction - they don't usually do any work on the weekends and otherwise its generally pretty quiet. Your view is forward towards the mountains anyway!...

Sara was so friendly and gave us some good spots to check out too. Flat Rock is an awesome swimming hole and the Yarrawa Winery was so cute - literally in the owners backyard!
Would definitely recommend Bedford and Bunker if you are wanting to switch off, relax and unwind!...
