Stringer’s Cottage is a charming one-bedroom miner’s cottage on the outskirts of the historic and quaint village of Walhalla.

While the cottage is extremely cosy in Winter, you’ll find it refreshingly cool in Summer as it is nestled deep in the shady Stringer’s Gorge. While staying at Stringer's Cottage you will experience the serenity of a real bush environment. It is very peaceful and private with the only sounds the birds and the rushing water of Stringer's Creek below.

Wake up to the sounds of birds and see wallabies, echidnas and lyrebirds in the wild. Explore the creeks and rivers, pan for gold, throw in a fishing line or enjoy a swim or a walk while staying at this beautiful cottage.

A lovely little cottage in a cool town situated in a gorgeous, lush valley. Had a great stay + would definitely recommend it. Was really hot the weekend we went but there was a cool river a three-minute drive away we layed about in and read books, then hit the pub for dinner....

A gorgeous little cabin in a secluded town - great for a disconnected getaway (no reception or wifi anywhere). It was cozy and warm in the cabin with the fire going on an unseasonally cold night and we curled up comfortably with our food, drinks and some music provided by the CD player. This cabin is so close to everything, including walkable distance to the pub for a drink and a meal - we recommend the steak, lamb and/or wedges! The only downside was the shower providing only a dribble (usually hot) but this is in line with the rustic feel of the whole town....
