Stringer’s Cottage is a charming one-bedroom miner’s cottage on the outskirts of the historic and quaint village of Walhalla.

While the cottage is extremely cosy in Winter, you’ll find it refreshingly cool in Summer as it is nestled deep in the shady Stringer’s Gorge. While staying at Stringer's Cottage you will experience the serenity of a real bush environment. It is very peaceful and private with the only sounds the birds and the rushing water of Stringer's Creek below.

Wake up to the sounds of birds and see wallabies, echidnas and lyrebirds in the wild. Explore the creeks and rivers, pan for gold, throw in a fishing line or enjoy a swim or a walk while staying at this beautiful cottage.

(Please note , there may be a slight surcharge School or Public Holidays).

Stringers cottage was exactly as its described. We had the most amazing relaxing weekend at Stringers cottage. Anna has ensured all the little things are available in the cottage to make the stay easy. It was the perfect spot to disconnect from everything (no cell reception) have a conversation, get outdoors and enjoy the local walking tracks. We decided to go on the ghost tour which was brilliant Sally provided a fantastic insight to the history of the community in its hay day. Would absolutely recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a quiet weekend away close to Melbourne....

Stringers cottage is really cute and cosy and we really enjoyed our 2 nights there. However, we had a few problems with the power supply, needing to limit what we had switched on or plugged in.
Walhalla is a really cute town and the locals are all lovely.
