Additional Information

Piccolino is a self-catered, private retreat, allowing our guests to experience the seclusion and ruggedness of the Aussie bush in comfort. Our tiny house has a small footprint on the environment, designed for minimal impact on the surrounding wilderness.

Piccolino comes with a fully equipped kitchen, with microwave, stovetop, pots and pans and mini-fridge and outdoor barbecue. Coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt and pepper are provided.

Our facilities follow ecologically sustainable principles, including a composting toilet. Our water supply is sourced from rainwater tanks. Biodegradable soaps, shampoos and conditioners are supplied. If bringing your own, we ask that you use suitable products to reduce the impact on our environment.
The tiny house is air-conditioned so you’ll stay cosy in winter and cool in summer.

Kick back in some comfy chairs around the fire pit with a favourite beverage. Firewood is supplied.

To maximise your comfort, we draw power generated from the grid, so you have peace of mind that you’ll stay warm and snug in those crisp temperatures outside, and cool in summer.

A fire pit is provided for your enjoyment; highly recommended each afternoon when the sun blazes red against the escarpment, with a favourite beverage in hand and a platter of cheese nearby. Feel free to use any fallen branches around the property for firewood, or bring your own.

It's a perfect place for Nature lovers as there's a river that runs just metres away from the tiny house. Explore the river and its pebble crossings, enjoy a picnic by the river, and keep your eyes peeled for wombat burrows and water dragons along the river bank. If you’re lucky enough, you might see some of our resident kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, goannas, lyre birds, black cockatoos, king parrots, galahs and several species of small birds. We also have some beautiful mature chestnut trees, apple trees, fig trees and grape-vines are dotted around the property.  If you're here when the fruit trees are in season, you’re welcome to collect some chestnuts, apples or figs when they’re just ripe for picking.

There is no mobile phone reception, wifi or internet access at this property. Come prepared to truly disconnect and enjoy the wilderness!

To get to our property, there will be a short drive on a dirt track. Some sections of the dirt track may be unsuitable for modified or lowered vehicles due to unevenness of the track.

Please note that there are no options to purchase food or beverages at the property. There are some great local dining options nearby. Contact us for some recommendations.

Please look after our wilderness. Do not cut down any trees.  All fires are to be contained within the fire pit provided. Fires must be completely put out before you leave, and no fires are to be lit when fire bans are in place.

Other Things to Note
We are situated in the countryside and you may encounter insects such as spiders throughout your stay as these are part of the natural ecosystem of the bush.
