Pet-friendly
The Old Schoolhouse is on the grounds of the famous Pilliga Pottery. Originally built for the owners’ children to attend correspondence school, the Old School House has since been transformed into self-catered accommodation with kitchenette and bathroom. Experience the enchanting octagonal “fairytale castle”, hand-crafted from local timbers.

Relax and enjoy the beautiful views from the large, Swiss-style balcony, and take a shower in a hand-sculpted masterpiece. Enjoy the Australian bush with walking tracks on our farm, home to amazing native wildlife. You are almost certain to catch a perfect starry night as Coonabarabran is the Astronomy Capital of Australia. Our outback retreat is sure to get you back in touch with nature and your creativity, as we welcome guests to get their hands dirty in our pottery studio.

Our 12,000-acre organic farm provides unique eco-friendly accommodation. We carry our activities, in the most sustainable ways possible while continuing to improve our relationship with the land. Our water is mainly from rainfall – clean, pure and chemical-free. Our electricity is produced by solar power and we have one of the largest privately owned solar systems in Australia. We grow as much organic food as we can in our greenhouse and gardens which are used to create delicious food in our farm cafe.

SCHOOL HOLIDAY BOOKINGS
The minimum occupancy charge during school holidays is 4. This means that if you are traveling with fewer than 4 people, the cost for the Old School House is still the 4 guest rate. If you would like to book, please send us a request and we will send you a special offer.
