Into the Wild

After having a week full of stress and work, an escape was definitely on the cards!! We saddled up the combi and sat off on an overnight adventure towards Marysville. Having never used a Stingray tree tent we were super keen to give it a shot and be totally surrounded by the bush isolated from reception!

Putting Jarrah our puppy into her Saturday best collar and lead we set out to Keppel’s Lookout, the first pit stop! And it didn’t disappoint!! Nestled high above Marysville overlooking the mountains we were taken away by the view as we ate and had a cheeky beer or two. No time to waste we hit the road with Jarrah licking her lips, head out the window getting amongst the country air. After a quick refresher at the Marysville river we made tracks towards Big River about 30 minutes or so into the bush.

On the way we stopped off at Buxton Burger to treat ourselves to their award-winning burgers and 70's truck stop interiors. As we lost reception and the trees closed in on us, the Big River Campsite fast approached!
