It’s always a treat arriving somewhere at night-time and anticipating a beaut surprise in the morning. Dozing off to the sound of waves intensified the excitement. Wilson’s Prom turned it on from the minute we woke up – from a cooked breakfast a metre away from the beach, to the crystal blue waters of Squeaky Beach just around the corner, to the small accommodating details that made crashing out in the belle tent something to be stoked on after a day of adventure – this quiet escape from Melbourne city life had us feeling fresh....

Perfect summer set up. We stopped for lunch at Tidal River where a stealthy kookaburra swooped in and stole a calamari straight out of Skye’s hand!...
The Big Drift
These huge sand dunes were unreal! We felt like we were on another planet without another human in sight. This was an awesome place for golden hour and watching the sunset over the Prom....
The Paddock
On the way home we drove through Fish Creek in search of a good brew. We popped into The Paddock and had a coffee and a graze – the vintage style library was a welcome procrastination before heading back to city life in Melbourne....
