Take the Road Less Travelled
We arrived at Mt Sturgeon Cottage late in the afternoon catching the last bit of sunshine. The cottage sits at the foot of the ever impressive Mt Sturgeon near the town of Dunkeld, the southern gateway to the Grampians. We spent the next few days taking the roads less travelled in the Southern Grampians and checking out what this area could offer us and we were not disappointed. If you're looking for a place where you have nature on your doorstep, ever-changing landscapes and want to unwind this is the place for you.
The Cottage makes you feel as if you are stepping back in time when you arrive. Made from the local stone with plenty of space around you and incredible views everywhere you look, provides a sense of calm and is a real place to connect with your friends. With all the space comes plenty of wildlife and we were surrounded by friendly kangaroos, birds and a curious horse who wanted to join us for breakfast. This place has everything you need for a weekend away and they provide you with a hamper each day with all the necessities plus more....
