30 Acre Dream

Nestled amongst ancient granite boulders in the heart of the Macedon Ranges, the Farmhouse Lodge is an idyllic cottage overlooking the most picturesque landscape.

As usual, our excitement caused a massive inability to sleep in during our getaway. Instead, we embraced the frosty mornings with a hot coffee and a wander, as we got to know our woolly little hosts - the black-faced sheep roaming free throughout the paddocks.

We explored the farm throughout the weekend and discovered a trickling creek, a tranquil pond with a rowboat called Nomad. While some cruisey highland cows that were only too happy to check out their new visitors.

The hosts had a keen eye for detail, as we soaked up the cottage, appreciating the styling and each unique area. From the Acubra hanging in the mudroom to the types of screw heads used for the towel hooks, everything had its place.

With so much on offer here, we knew it would be hard to tear ourselves away from the cottage, to explore the rest of the region.

Our experience was elevated further by meeting Danni and Ash, sho shared their story of how the farm came to be, which was inspiring for our story too.
