Venture To The Valley
As you drive away from the quaint little town of Blackheath and head down through the lush bushland into the Megalong Valley, you feel as if you’re entering a secluded and almost secret location a world away from everything else.
Tucked away completely invisible from the road, we could've easily kept driving on not knowing that this beautiful homestead sat just on the other side of the crest..
Entering the vast light-filled living space we were taken aback by the breathtaking views both inside and out. The house itself is beautiful - but out through its almost panoramic windows are breathtaking views of open paddocks and towering escarpments in the distance.
We had nothing on our agenda but to relax, and we had little trouble doing so.
Our morning began with brewing some coffee and indulging in a long pancake breakfast out on the sun-soaked deck. Afterwards, we lazed about with a good book and watched the cows go about their day moving across the property.
As the sun went down and the night got chilly we huddled in front of the fireplace, soaking up its warmth with a bottle of wine (generously included from Dryridge Estate) and played a few increasingly competitive rounds of tic-tac-toe.
The gracious hosts Melissa & John built Foy's Folly to allow others to share a special spot that is close to their heart, and you can't help but feel the love and dedication that has gone into creating this truly unforgettable slice of heaven....
