Bespoke dreams of ocean scenes
When we reached our accommodation, we were greeted with a beautiful ocean view in the distance with the hills surrounding us. Our stay was clean, cosy, peaceful, and just what we were looking for. The rain set in for the day so we took advantage of the little fireplace inside the caravan, got some cheese out and had a few glasses of red.
The next morning we took advantage of the somewhat clear skies and headed towards the 12 Apostles. We had a beautiful sunrise at Gibson Steps then made our way to the 12 Apostles where the wind started to set in as well as the clouds. We spent half of the day taking photos of the amazing surrounds and then made our way to the Cape Otway Lighthouse.
The drive-in had so many Koala's on the treetops; it was like a Koala sanctuary. After eating some fresh scones at the Cape Otway Cafe, we headed back to Apollo Bay and stopped by the Apollo Bay Fisherman's Co-op where I got some fresh Lobster and Katie enjoyed her fish n chips.
The next morning the sky was clear, and Katie made great use of the outdoor bath admiring the views and sounds of the ocean and birds around us. After an excellent breakfast, we were on our way back home, but we had another stop on the road. We visited a Raspberry farm in the Otway's and picked a few punnets of fresh berries then headed home. It was a weekend of pure relaxation, exploration and fantastic food with the best company and accommodation anyone could ask for....

This spot is best viewed at any time of the day, but if you want a beautiful glow on the rock formations, then it's best served at sunset....
