Serenity at its Finest

Words cannot describe how fulfilling it was to escape Sydney for a weekend to this absolute gem of a place. Waking up to a symphony of birds in our tiny home was much welcomed.

The moment we opened our eyes and peeked out the window, we were blessed with incredible views of the Williams River bank. We spent our morning with coffee in hand just watching the clouds and their reflection in the river and greetings from our little host pup, Gemma.

We decided to wander to Port Stephens, located about 35 minutes from the property along the coastline. We treated ourselves to a delicious breakfast at Shoal Bay Country Club and a day basking in the sun. Hiking to the top of Mount Tomaree and watching the sunset over the coastline was the perfect ending to the day.

On our second day, we woke up to a little rainstorm in our tiny home. One of the best sounds is the rain hitting the tin roof. We made our coffee and just listened to the rain until we had a break in the clouds and decided to go out on the kayaks before we checked out.

Hiking the Mount Tomaree Summit
This steep 2.2 km round trip hike to the summit of Mount Tomaree will bless you with the best views overlooking Port Stephens! Enjoy a beautiful sunset overlooking Shoal Bay, Zenith Beach, and the Fingal Split....
Kayaking on the Williams River
The host of the Clyde kindly let us use the Kayaks on the property for a kayak along the Williams River. The water was so calm! It was a beautiful way to relax and unwind....
A walk out to Fingal Split
Enjoy a walk along Fingal Beach to the Fingal Split. This incredible piece of beach connects Shark island. It's also so unique because you can see both sides of the beach from this small strip of sand. During high tide, this disappears underwater!...
Breakfast at Shoal Bay Country Club
The BEST breakfast with and incredible views! We absolutely loved the House-Made Buttermilk Berry Waffles with Mascarpone and the Vegetarian Brekkie Bowl. The Views overlooking the Mount Tomaree National Park were sublime too....
Sunrise at the The Clyde
Wake up and enjoy the serenity of sunrise at The Clyde. The Williams River is so calm if it looks like a mirror reflecting the clouds from above. We took our coffee and sat near the water, just listening to all the birds around us. We had the sweetest surprise when our host dog, Gemma, came down for a visit....
