Wandering through Gippsland

Adventure in Hillside, Gippsland, VIC
Finally able to get back on the road after a long lockdown, my wife Jo, our pup Maggie and I left Melbourne behind making our way East to Gippsland for our babymoon before the new addition arrives. We set off early with the intent to make some stops along the way after a day spent exploring Ninety Mile Beach we arrived at our Hillside Tiny Home set on a beautiful Gippsland farm and were welcomed by sunset to rival the best.

We spent the next 3 days exploring the Gippsland region cooling off in the inland lakes, venturing into the national parks, wandering the shores of quaint seaside villages and dipping our toes in the ocean along the many beaches Gippsland has to offer. We left our tiny home feeling completely fulfilled and refreshed by our time spent here.

The tiny home is a great place to sit back relax after a long day, the deck is perfect to watch the sunset and drink a glass of wine and the tiny home is set up with everything you need to enjoy some time away from the city and enjoy the surroundings....

Metung is a 40-minute drive from the tiny home, spend the day exploring the seaside town, walk the boardwalk round to Chinaman’s Creek lookout and take a dip off one of the jetty’s on the way back followed by a pot at the Metung Hotel...
Fish the Lakes
Cast a line from the many beaches or inlets along the Lakes Entrance shores, if you don’t have any luck with the fish there’s always a good local fish and chip shop nearby where you can get one...
Explore the Lakes and Mitchell River National Park
Head to the Mitchell River National Park for the day and take the track to the Den of Nargun, cool off in the afternoon at Lake Glenmaggie where you can drive your vehicle down the dusty tracks to the shore....
Breakfast at The Long Paddock, Lindenow
A local favourite near to the tiny home, their brunch kept us fueled and returning each day...
