The Forrest Lakehouse is perfect for a few couples or a large family stay. With 4 queen beds spread downstairs and upstairs we were able to have Austin upstairs and have the kiddy space to himself. The house has a real rustic vibe to it, was really nice to enjoy the fire place, drink some wine and even play some piano. The house has everything you need so bring plenty of food and relax. There's also plenty of land to utilise and explore, with a huge lake to either read a book by or enjoy some kayaking on. There aren't many places out there where you can really feel at home, not just with the house you're staying at but with the surroundings it has to offer. The lake was perfect for this, my little man Austin really enjoyed being taken on the kayak and floating down the lake. We had Bear chase us all along the shore line and he even came in for a swim to greet us! There was no need to go anywhere as the adventure was filled where we stayed. After checkout Katie and I just had to see a waterfall before coming back to Melbourne so we went to Hopetoun Falls, got the yellow jacket out and took some photos at one of the most picturesque waterfalls in Victoria....
