The historical village of Tanjil Bren is only a 2 to 2 ½ hours drive east of Melbourne, in the Baw Baw ranges.

This 3 bedroom loft looks rustic on the outside, with all of the comforts on the inside. It is solar powered, which provides electricity and gas for cooking, hot water and home entertainment. Our water is sourced from a natural spring that originates from a steep highland close by.

As part of your retreat from urban living, you can spend the day lolling on the deck and watch the Rosellas and King Parrots in the huge gum trees nearby or rest by the log fire and read a book or watch TV/DVD, or listen to your favourite music on our inbuilt CD/iPod stereo speaker system. Timber Top Lodge has a BBQ and pizza cooker on the deck and an outdoor dining suite.

A newly installed wet room with Japanese bath, has a skylight with view of the mountain ranges and the sky. Whether you want a relaxing getaway or some sport and adventure, Tanjil Bren has plenty on offer....

35 mins from Tanjil is the The Toolshed Bar and Bistro at Noojee - the town's most famous watering hole. It is famous for its corrugated iron bar, massive open fire place and surrounding beer gardens.

The Toolshed is well known for its big hearty meals like the massive Parma board with 12 selection of parmas made from "real chicken” the famous billy burger and lamb pot roast to die for....
