The Post Office has come a long way from its early beginnings delivering parcels and letters to the high country pioneers. Now lovingly restored, the Post Office is a clever blend of traditional materials and features with the best of modern appliances and finishes. This enchanting hideaway will make your alpine holiday unforgettable.

The Kitchen
The spacious open plan kitchen and dining room provide plenty of space for everyone to socialise. Cook up a storm on the Bosch gas stove, then gather round the timber dining table, with its vintage bentwood chairs, to truly enjoy your dining experience. Afterwards, why not enjoy a coffee from the espresso machine and then clean up in a flash thanks to the Miele dishwasher. If you prefer to cook alfresco, there’s also a BBQ on the porch, plus an outdoor sitting area.

Relaxing and Entertaining
The elegant, character-filled lounge provides guests with the perfect place to entertain friends and family or simply to relax. The tasteful furnishings invite guests to unwind whilst watching the flickering flames in the open fireplace, or alternatively, watch your favourite shows on the large flat screen TV, which comes with DVD and video player, Foxtel and sound system.

This is an absolutely beautiful space very cosy with everything you need. Great location to access both snow fields and also Jindabyne. Lots of thoughtful touches make it feel very homely we did not want to leave will definitely be back again.

Comfortable and love the rustic atmosphere. Depends what you are looking for as great location if you have a car, but not a lot of opportunity to take a walk without driving somewhere. Clean and wel...l presented but missing a few basic essentials in the kitchen and there appeared to be a few blown light bulbs.

Beautifully rustic and just made our stay amazingly comfortable. Attentive communication and friendly service. We ordered dinner delivered the first night and were not disappointed. Highly recommend.

Scenic Drive Along Alpine Way

If you're in the mood to do some drive-by sightseeing, check out Alpine Way. It'll take you through some absolutely stunning scenery.

Right at the end, you'll find a sweet little campground called "Tom Groggin campground" which is a popular but spacious place to set up your tent, with a clean little river running through it.

Bullocks Hut

A gentle walk along the Thredbo Valley Track. Perfect for the whole family.

River Fishing

Thredbo River meanders from Thredbo to Lake Jindabyne and is a fly fishing haven. Near Bullocks Hut, at the junction of Thredbo River and Little Thredbo River, is a lovely fishing spot.

Refreshing River Dip

Thredbo Diggings Campground was a great spot to park and take an afternoon dip. I was too cold to get in, so I sat and enjoyed the sun while Andy cooled off his Tassie blood in the snow melted waters. There's only a little bit of parking for day use of the river, but we lucked out and got a weekday spot. Try your luck, it's worth it.

If you can't find a park turn around and head out to the lake in Jindabyne for your water fix. Not as much of a vibe but it'll do the trick.
