We had a wonderful 2-day stay at Logan Brae in the Blue Mountains. The place was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and full of charm. Our host was incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. It was the perfect escape from the city, and we’d love to return again someday!

What an absolutely perfect escape! We had the BEST weekend on this stunning property. The bed was comfy, the fire so beautiful, a fantastically equipped kitchen with loads of added goodies and two bea...utiful deep luxurious baths to choose from. We really enjoyed wandering the orchard and having Lottie visit for a pat, even the chooks popped around to say G’day. Asia has created the most beautiful couples getaway, we will definitely book again in the future and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend such a beautiful and well thought out space. Thanks for having us!

The whole experience of staying here was absolutely perfect: the generosity of the space, the quality of the furnishings, the beautiful view and the wonderfully large and warm wood fire, particularly.... It was a cold, rainy winter weekend which anywhere else might have been miserable, but here we were so comfortable, cosy and spoiled with a basket of treats, a bottle of wine and even a fridge with enough breakfast ingredients for a couple of days. We played scrabble, read on the many soft lounges, had an outdoor bath, and went for a beautiful bush walk. Best accommodation we’ve ever had in NSW, city or country.

The Logan Brae Apple Orchard is our small family business with my husband almost single handedly managing all of its operations while I oversee our accommodation. We have about 6000 apple trees and a rustic farm shop where we sell our fresh produce. It’s open to the public for a few months each year, usually from February and is incredibly popular amongst locals and tourists alike! Our beautiful Maremma dog Lottie roams the property and keeps a watchful eye over our free ranging chickens and I love working in the vegetable garden with our children while the chickens explore. I am also a professional photographer and author, my two childrens books are set on the Orchard and star some of our animals. The Machinery Shed, a romantic couples retreat located on The Orchard, is where my luxe hosting dreams all began! Once we renovated and started hosting, I found out just how much I loved seeing people enjoying our beautiful space and providing the perfect setting for their special memories! When the opportunity to take on the Mt Kanimbla property arose, I couldn’t say no! We now have these two stunning sites for guests to chose their ideal location to rest, relax and reconnect. I hope you love each one as much as I do!

Private Lookout
A short walk to the bottom of our property will take you to our private escarpment lookout. You will feel like the only ones in the world while you sit and enjoy the serenity that is the Blue Mountains
Outdoor Bath
When we arrived at The Shed, we were excitedly told there was a special addition to the property that had just been finished earlier in the day.
Late afternoon we took a basket of wine, bathrobes and bath bombs and headed towards the rear bushland down a neat, new pathway. We stopped at a small wooden deck and saw a large stone bathtub that looked as if it was resting among the treetops. Soaking in the warm tub while rays of setting sun danced through the leaves had us feeling completely relaxed and immersed in nature.

Logan Brae Orchards
From March through to August you can visit Logan Brae and taste the reward from a year of hard work on the orchard. From over 6000 apple trees they have a small shop that sells all things apples - homemade apple pies, creamy apple butter, hot spiced apple cider or a big box of fresh, juicy apples, just how mother nature made them. After you’ve got your treats, take a seat at the lookout point and enjoy the amazing view.
The Private Lookout
In the Shed, you'll find a hand-drawn map directing you on a short walk through the orchards and down through the bushland at the rear of the property. Follow the trail through the trees until you spot the 'lookout' sign and you'll discover a large clearing with absolutely stunning views, to enjoy all to yourself.
Pack a blanket and some nibbles into one of the baskets provided and have a picnic up above the mountains.

Explore Blackheath
For a true taste of mountain town living, you can’t go past a stop at Blackheath. We loved The Victory Theatre; an early 1900’s cinema turned antique centre with multiple levels and over 50,000 vintage gems and Hat Hill Gallery; once a printing factory but now a great little record store with everything from collectible vinyl to fine art prints.
After refuelling at one of the many cafe's, don't forget to visit Govett’s Leap Lookout, you’ll see why it’s one of Australia’s most famous lookouts!

This walk through dry eucalyptus forest has wonderful views of the Jamison Valley and neighbouring cliffs, plus you are rewarded with spectacular waterfalls at both ends of the walk. Highpoints are the paths, which are cut halfway up the cliff-face that lead you to a crossing of the incredible Wentworth Falls, right next to the appropriately named Giant Staircase.
