Kanimbla View was an amazing getaway for me and my friends. We didn't have optimal weather, but the 2 cottages and studio, were exactly what we needed.

Each room equipped with a fire place and set am...ongst the bush.

Nigel was a great host and very responsive to any and all questions asked.

Even with the unfavourable weather, the lodge was awesome, allowing us to play cards, listen to music and cook up some large meals for our group.

Thanks Nigel for everthing.

With my partner, Tony, I operate an eco retreat, Kanimbla View Clifftop Retreat, in the world heritage Blue Mountains of Australia. Set in the 12 acres of bush the property overlooks the Kanimbla Valley and is a wildlife refuge for native fauna. We are keen walkers having explored most of the walking tracks in the Blue Mountains and enjoy sharing our knowledge with our guests from all over the world. With a background in hospitality, we have a love of fine food and are able to offer catering to groups of 12 or more staying at Kanimbla View.

Blue Mountains National Park Cliff Top Trail Blackheath

This energetic cliff top walk takes you from Govetts Leap to Evans lookout. You will be rewarded with some of the most beautiful and scenic views in all of the Blue Mountains. Be sure to keep watch for native birdlife, wildflowers, and many of lookouts along the way. As the sun shines from the east, this is the ideal walk to warm up on a cold winters morning.
Appreciate the beauty of the windswept heathland and the stunning she-oaks, banksias and mallee scrub. Make sure you pack your lunch, as Evan’s Lookout is the perfect spot to enjoy a picnic before the return walk.

Blue Mountains National Park

Katoomba is one of the most visited towns the World Heritage Listed Blue Mountains National Park. Known for its unforgettable landscape, pristine wilderness, and stunning waterfalls. Breathe in the mountain air, take in the stunning mountain views and reconnect with your sense of adventure by discovering in the regions natural wonders and a wide range of outdoor activities.

Blue Mountains National Park National Pass

This walk through dry eucalyptus forest has wonderful views of the Jamison Valley and neighbouring cliffs, plus you are rewarded with spectacular waterfalls at both ends of the walk. Highpoints are the paths, which are cut halfway up the cliff-face that lead you to a crossing of the incredible Wentworth Falls, right next to the appropriately named Giant Staircase. Be prepared with water and appropriate footwear as there are some difficult sections that require reasonable fitness.

Wentworth Falls

The track to the falls is short but steep. Leave from the Wentworth Falls picnic area and follow the track past two lookouts before descending 200 steps to the cliff edge at Fletchers lookout. Spend some time marvelling at the water cascading 100m to the valley floor before tackling the steps back.
