What a special and characterful waterfront cottage. Stylish, picturesque, warm and welcoming. This beautiful historic boatshed tucked away on the Hawkesbury River has such a relaxed feeling that you i...mmediately feel at home.
The setting is magic, and my favourite spot was the balcony overlooking the water during sunset. We loved the beautiful light filled living rooms, cozy fireplace, meals on the balcony and having kayaks right at the doorstep. Listening to classic songs on the vinyl player was such a lovely touch too. It was so romantic and blissful being here.Being boat access only makes it feel wonderfully secluded and peaceful. It really feels like you have escaped somewhere completely, surrounded by the water and nature.
I feel so grateful to have captured little moments and elements of the home through my photos. There was so much beauty and character in every corner, and it was a joy to photograph.
And a special mention to Tamara, who was absolutely lovely to deal with. She was so warm, friendly, thoughtful and accommodating, and I really felt how genuinely kind she was throughout our stay. She was incredibly responsive and made everything feel easy and effortless.
Thank you so much, Tamara and Marc, for sharing your beautiful home with us and for being such wonderful hosts. We absolutely loved our stay and I am definitely coming back in summer. I can already picture long sunny days on the water, kayaking, swimming and soaking up that beautiful view. A beautiful hidden gem.

Our stay at the Margaret was fantastic! The house was decorated perfectly. We wanted to get away from technology and civilisation and the entire place was like a time machine. We loved the peace, quiet and tranquility we experienced and we didn't even need to leave the house.

We live in Sydney and visit Margaret every chance we get. We love nothing more than an evening on the balcony with a rose, watching the boats breeze by. After a year of renovations we are thrilled to offer Margaret for short stays so others can enjoy this stunning part of the world so close to the city.
