Moonbah Lake Hut

Moonbah Lake Hut is a luxuriously appointed, waterfront, log & stone cabin, located in the New South Wales Snowy Mountains region, 15 minutes from the township of Jindabyne. The cabin is a 2 hour drive from Canberra, or 5-6 hours from Sydney. An all year destination, toasty warm with in-slab floor heating for the winter snow and a lovely cool, high altitude getaway, to escape the heat of summer. The cabin borders the Kosciusko National Park and the wildlife is literally at the door, day and night, so the photography opportunities are amazing if you love wildlife and incredible landscapes! The Lake Hut also fronts a small lake that is stocked with large Brown and Rainbow Trout. Guests can fly fish in the lake and lessons and equipment are available to guests if required. Bushwalking tracks go for miles and the mountain above the cabin reaches a breathtaking 1545m altitude (almost 200m higher than Thredbo Village!) Guests often refer to the peacefulness of the property and how they feel they have "stepped back in time"...whilst sipping a red wine by the fire pit, under the stars, on the lakes jetty at night...

Birchwood For Brekkie

Don't pass up this hip and healthy spot to grab brunch. Andy opted to get the banana smoothie but gave it his signature twist by adding two espresso shots. I enjoyed the fish tacos and a chai latte. It has a light and breezy ambience for naughty or nice eats. You choose your poison.
