Wondernest provided a fabulous and needed break for our family. The house is not far from Blackheath village but feels like it’s in the middle of the bush.
The decor is beautiful and heating easy and... quick!
My son and I did a sunrise walk to Govett’s Leap lookout and weren’t disappointed.
We did the Porter’s pass loop when everyone was up, and chilled at the house with a log fire in the afternoon and read/ played games before dinner out in Blackheath.
Apart from the inevitable battle for the window seat, we had a relaxing yet invigorating stay.
Thank you!

Had an amazing stay at Wondernest!
The cabin is perfectly located - you feel like you’re a world away from everything when looking at the spectacular bush views, but are only a short drive from everyt...hing you may need in town.
Loved bird watching from the window seat, and exploring the bush further on the Popes Glen track, conveniently located right behind the cabin.
It was truly a lovely and thoughtful experience. Could not recommend this stay enough!

Great place to stay with our 3-year-old. Loved the walking track down the back, The wind erosion cave and the red rocket playground.

We are delighted that you are considering Wondernest Blackheath for your Blue Mountains retreat. We are city dwellers inspired by design and nature who also love to escape to the mountains to rest and recharge. We have brought our combined skills in art direction and property to renovate and style Wondernest. It has been a joy to design a place that responds to nature and the beautiful and inspiring environment of Blackheath. We’ve introduced understated, simple but high-quality luxurious materials throughout to ensure that the place is inviting and comfortable all year round. We hope you enjoy the tranquillity of the space, the charm and convenience of Blackheath Village and of course the rejuvenating bush walks all at your doorstop. Paul and Ruby

Buying a record is a favourite souvenir, and Hat Hill Gallery is always a stop whenever I visit the Blue Mountains

Sunrise At Govetts Leap

Facing directly east the sun rises over the Grose valley. It is the most spectacular sunrise location in the Blue Mountains.

Canyoning

Travel to the Grose Valley, near Blackheath. A short walk takes you to the first of 5 abseils up to 20-metres high. The canyon is narrow, steep and spectacular!

An exhilarating cycling route, Anderson’s trail descends into unspoilt bushland and links to Woodford - Oaks trail for an added challenge. This loose gravel trail is an adrenalin-fueled adventure bound to challenge even those most experienced at mountain biking.
