To maintain the pristine quality of our environment, smoking is not permitted anywhere within the accommodation or on the grounds of Lawson Park.
FAMILY FRIENDLY stays at Long Alley Barn
Our property is child-friendly with full-time supervision. Please note that Long Alley Barn is unfenced, and there is open access to the dam. We also enjoy frequent visits from a variety of wildlife. Inside the Barn, the open fire places are accessible. The design of the Barn includes an open tread timber stair case and unfenced verandah. For the safety and pleasure of all guests, we ask that you contact us for pre-approval before bringing children to stay.
PET FRIENDLY stays at Long Alley Barn
Our pet-friendly policy allows for one dog to accompany you during your stay, contingent upon adherence to our Accompanying Pet Policy. Guests must seek pre approval for their pet, providing name, age and breed of dog. Pets must not be left unsupervised at the accommodation and require constant supervision while on the property. A pet fee of $50 per stay applies, A signed copy of the pet policy must be returned to Lawson Park Management at the time of booking. Please note the accommodation or property is not suitable for cats.

The Barn features an automated central hydronic heating system to assist in keep you warm during the winter months and ceiling fans to keep you cool in the summer.

FIREWOOD
We provide a generous amount of firewood and kindling for a 2/3-night stay, with additional supplies available upon request at a service fee of $60 per load. Kindling can be collected on the property, but please note that firewood can not be removed from the property.
Firewood supplied at the Barn can not be used at the outdoor firepit on the Terraces. There is 'bush' firewood located in this location. Kindling can be collected from adjacent bush areas.
RESPONSIBLE USE OF OPEN FIRES
Use of all open fires are to be responsibly used by guests and at their own risk. We provide advice on the safe use of open fires in our inhouse instruction booklet. Use of all open fires are subject to seasonal restrictions based on local weather service advice. All guests are responsible to make themselves aware of local authority advice when staying at Lawson Park.

LAWSON PARK CELEBRATIONS
Long Alley Barn is available for organised events only with prior approval from Lawson Park Management and will incur additional booking/hire fees. Guests intending to host an event, whether including extra visitors or not, must obtain approval at least 30 days before checking in. For special occasions, we can provide personalised services like equipment rental and styling for you and any additional visitors at the Barn. These services can be customised to make your event unforgettable.
GUEST ACCESS
Staying at Lawson Park will require your own car transport. We are an easy 15 minutes from Mount Victoria 30 minutes from Katoomba in the Blue Mountains and 15 minutes from Lithgow. Our access road is not sealed but is in good condition and suitable for most standard vehicles.
Currently, our property does not have the capability to charge electric vehicles. However, there are several charging stations available in the nearby area of Lithgow.
A stay at Long Alley Barn accommodation includes access to the boardwalk to the bushland terraces, and the open fire pit (available from September to May, subject to local regulations during summer months).
Guests staying at Long Alley Barn are welcome to visit the fenced Garden and its Studio and explore the walking trails within the property. Maps and detailed information are provided in the accommodation information booklet.
Vehicles are to remain on the designated access road and parking area. Please do not swim in the dams the water is untreated. Access to the water areas are at the guests own risk. Where possible please walk on trails and tracks within the property.
Lawson Park Management take no responsibility for guests’ activities within the terrain of any known track within the property. The owners take no responsibility for guests when accessing surrounding Crown Land and Conservation areas.
CLEAN & TIDY
We expect the Barn to be left clean and tidy on departure. Please return furniture if moved. High-quality linen and towels are provided for your comfort, please take care and use disposable wipes or tissues to remove makeup or lotions. If property is left excessively dirty, untidy and linens stained additional fees of $55 per hour will be charged and/or professional laundering costs.
Please report all breakages or damage. Replacement or repair can be discussed if required. A $30 fee will be charged if keys are not returned on departure.
COSY & CARE
Please do not wear outside shoes in the Barn. We highly recommend you bring slippers to keep your toes cosy in the Barn.
Please only use our very special claw foot bath in the buff. Or if you must take a 'selfie' please do not mark or damage the surface of the bath with zips, buttons or shoes it is very sensitive & we would hate to charge you for a replacement!
We reserve the right to charge for replacement or repair if bath surface or any furniture, fixtures or fittings are damaged

We would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Dharug and Wiradjuri people, and pay respect to the Elders past and present. We are committed to learning about the history of First Nations Australians in the Hartley Vale region and welcome any information or correspondence.
Our valley was once home to the bustling community supporting the Hartley Vale shale mine (c.1865). Remnants of the settlement are found throughout the Vale, along the old winder trails, pits and Hartley Cemetery. Nearby, the Comet Inn has been accommodating locals and tourists since 1879. Down the road, Collits' Inn (c.1823) once served travellers en route to Bathurst and now hosts weddings and functions.
