It was great, however the wifi stopped working from the evening we arrived (due to natural causes/ lightning) which was a bit inconvenient as we had to walk elsewhere to get wifi.
Despite that it was... great! Well maintained, friendly staff and prompt to requests and messages! Definitely worth the stay!
Total/ 4/5 - (would be 5/5 if not for wifi)
Friendliness of staff and promptness of owner 5/5
Environment and cleanliness 5/5

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Dennarque Estate in the Koonawarra Cottage. The cottage had a fully equipped kitchen with tea, coffee, condiments and almost any cooking appliance you could thi...nk of. The bathrooms were modern and really large and there was plenty of firewood and starter for the fireplace. Every detail was thought of. The estate gardens were beautiful and so peaceful. It really was a perfect getaway especially in a time like this. Lata was also a fantastic and kind host, checking in on us after the rain and allowing us to check out late when they didn't have an immediate follow on booking.

Long Walks At Dennarque Estate
Dennarque Estate is known for its beautifully manicured gardens, and for the three days we were there, we ensured a long walk every day to cover every inch of the estate.
From almost-riped cherry trees to every single type of flower you could imagine, and even a traditional Japanese garden- we spent hours walking along every pathway in Dennarque Estate.

Explore Mount Wilson
If you go for a drive along the Bells Line of Road, we recommend taking a detour to Mount Wilson! With stunning lookouts and rainforests, it is perfect for an afternoon wander. We particularly loved wandering through the Cathedral of Ferns, a short and tranquil walk amongst majestic stands of tree ferns and scrambling vines.
Mount Wilson Scenic Drive
The area has magnificent bushland and rainforest, walks and canyons as well as historic houses and grand exotic gardens, some of which are open to the public.
Waterfall Circuit Track
You will be in awe of the superb rainforest vegetation including giant coachwood, sassafras, corkwood and tree ferns, as well as beautiful waterfalls on Waterfall Creek. The track takes you past two waterfalls, one small and one large, then returns to the reserve.
A Few Options For Food Start With Hive Cafe
If you're like us, it's not uncommon that Andy will eat anything while I'm a bit more particular about my diet. In the morning he was starving so he grabbed a hot meat pie from the Pie in The Sky shop at the top of the road. However, I don't eat gluten or dairy, so we needed to find me a little something before beginning our day. A 15 min drive up the road took us to Hive Cafe, where I had all my dietary needs met. They had smoothies, and GF toasties and treats (as well as glutinous ones) and coffee and chai and all the things someone as picky as me needs to satiate hunger.
