Wisteria Lodge has a large outdoor fireplace which opens onto the manicured gardens. It is an ideal spot for watching the stars, It has seating for 6. It also has an indoor fireplace, open plan living area with a kitchen, dining and lounge area, a modern bathroom and a comfortable King Size bed with a garden view.

Located on 24 acres of historical Dennarque Estate gardens which dates back to 1870s, it have been featured in many local and international media, and regarded by many as one of the best cold climate gardens in Australia.

The gardens were designed over 135 years ago by the then Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney director, Charles Moore.

Dennarque Estate Wisteria Lodge | Mt Wilson | 24 Acres of Established Heritage Botanical Garden.

The Gardens retain a large number of original plantings that were introduced from various countries around the world and planted in the late 19th Century. There are many rare species of maples, rhododendrons, camellias, dahlias and many other exotic and rare plants. A Japanese influenced garden has recently been added to Estate.

Rarely open to the public, the exotic cool climate gardens of Dennarque Estate are now available in-house guests.

The area has magnificent natural bushland and rainforest, many bushwalks and canyons as well as historic houses and cool climate gardens, some of which are open to the public.

- The gardens are for the exclusive enjoyment of the paying guests. The gates must be left closed at all times after entering and exiting the property.

- The cottages are smoke-free zone. Care must be taken with any cigarettes outdoors due to bushfire hazards. Please do not discard any cigarette butts.

- Minimum age of primary renter should be 21. The Property will not treated as a “party house” and any such activities are strictly prohibited.

Such a stunning property , accomodation was quirky and well cared for , the gardens are so beautiful and perfect to relax or have a picnic in , hosts were great and very friendly , highly recommend

Very well equipped, spacious, and comfortable cottage. Lata was very helpful indeed - especially after I locked something in the garage on my last day!!
The grounds of the estate are absolutely stunni...ng - we walked about them over several days.
Mt Wilson is a gorgeous destination with lots of atmospheric gardens to visit. Amazing autumn colours in April and May and beautiful blossoms in October.

This was our first visit to the Dennarque Estate, wisteria lodge centre of the Estate was a great place to stay,so peaceful throughout the day and the evening was wonderful,
what a great place to rege...nerate yourself mentally and certainly spiritually,
With all the large trees around the property beautiful shrubs, you can really feel your home.
And the easy walking throughout the Estate you can only but feel energised.

Long Walks At Dennarque Estate

Dennarque Estate is known for its beautifully manicured gardens, and for the three days we were there, we ensured a long walk every day to cover every inch of the estate.

From almost-riped cherry trees to every single type of flower you could imagine, and even a traditional Japanese garden- we spent hours walking along every pathway in Dennarque Estate.

Bebeah Gardens

Bebeah gardens were built in 1880 and are one of the many garden estates you'll find throughout Mount Wilson. For almost 20 years its current owner has lovingly maintained this extraordinary 12-acre property and for a small fee welcomes visitors year-round.
Through the red front gates, you'll enter a stunning world of vivid colours, magical archways, weathered statues and winding pathways. You could easily explore for an entire day and still feel like there's more to uncover!

Explore Mount Wilson

If you go for a drive along the Bells Line of Road, we recommend taking a detour to Mount Wilson! With stunning lookouts and rainforests, it is perfect for an afternoon wander. We particularly loved wandering through the Cathedral of Ferns, a short and tranquil walk amongst majestic stands of tree ferns and scrambling vines.

Mount Wilson Scenic Drive

The area has magnificent bushland and rainforest, walks and canyons as well as historic houses and grand exotic gardens, some of which are open to the public.

Waterfall Circuit Track

You will be in awe of the superb rainforest vegetation including giant coachwood, sassafras, corkwood and tree ferns, as well as beautiful waterfalls on Waterfall Creek. The track takes you past two waterfalls, one small and one large, then returns to the reserve.

One of my favourite places to visit in the Blue Mountains, without a doubt, is Mount Wilson. It's a stunning area with lots of different gardens. We took a stroll around Breenhold Garden, which is incredible in autumn. Bonus points for being dog friendly!
