This is a unique holiday stay. A 40 minute drive from Queanbeyan, this is a perfect weekend getaway from Canberra and is located 12kms from Captains Flat. The Abbey is a large open plan home featuring a mezzanine bedroom and downstairs bedroom. Spacious living area with the highlight being a wall of glass facing the Tindery Mountains and an open fire.
Set on 100 acres next to the Tallaganda National Park, this is up on the Great Divide where you will find snow gums . Explore the forests, watch the kangaroos coming in to feed in the evenings, enjoy amazing sunsets over the Tinderys with a glass of wine or just chill out with friends.
The Abbey is not suitable for children. No pets please.

The property is not a farm, but you must be aware that wild life is prolific, especially kangaroos.
The house is Off Grid. This means solar & batteries for power. Cooking is by wood stove (cook top and oven). The wood stove also provides hot water and floor heating. There is also a 2 burner gas top with griller. For summer cooking a Weber baby Q is available.
If you enjoy music bring your ipod, cds etc to connect to our hi fi - Bluetooth available. Or simply connect to the ABC & SBS TV radio stations.
