The main room is equipped with all modern amenities, including a TV, free Wi-Fi, a wood heater, and reverse cycle air-conditioning, so you can enjoy your time in complete comfort. The kitchen is fully equipped, complete with a fridge/freezer and pantry items, ideal for a quiet night in preparing a delicious meal for your partner.

Mountford Cottage is located on the Tambo Bluff estate which is within a short drive or walking distance to the Metung Hot Springs and Country Club, including a public golf course and restaurant and only a 5-minute drive to the village shops.
Mountford Cottage sleeps 4 guests each room has 2 queen size beds. Luxurious French linen, towels, and toiletries supplied for the confirmed number of guests.
Offering all new quality furnishings, TV, free WiFi, cosy wood heater, and reverse cycle air-conditioning in the main room. A fully equipped kitchen, fridge/freezer with basic pantry items supplied. The newly renovated bathroom has a shower, vanity, and toilet. The separate laundry has a washing machine and dryer.
Soak your weary body in the very private outdoor bath.
We provide you with linen dressing gowns and towels to use.
Enjoy the wrap-around verandahs and BBQ with a bush setting at the back of the property.
Pour yourself a drink and spend an evening around the outdoor fire pit under the festoon lights. Wood is supplied.
A welcome breakfast is provided such as Muesli, Sourdough Artisan Bread, Gippsland Jersey Butter, Tambo Valley Honey, Forge Creek Eggs, Jams, tea and coffee are also provided for your first nights stay.

There are several walks at your doorstep. On Broadlands Road turn left at Jacaranda Drive to Kings Cove Blvd which will take you to the Hot Springs and Country Club. If you prefer a longer walk continue along Beach Road for half an hour to Metung Village.
My favorite walk is along the Wallaby Creek Track, (off Broadlands Road) turn right into Jacaranda Drive, you will come to a fork, left will take you to the water, straight takes to Gloria Ave (to our other property Lakeview Retreat) to the headland, with gorgeous views of Raymond Island and Paynesville. Continue left on the Lagoon Road loop back to Jacaranda Drive or walk down to the water.
Another nice walk from Gloria Ave, turn right at Stephanie rd to James rd to the 100 steps down to the water, returning back to Mountford Cottage via Swan Drive.
Our second property Lakeview Retreat Metung is located at Gloria Avenue.
Please note we do not have a dishwasher, the kitchen layout does not allow for one in the space and appreciate that all dishes are put away clean for our next guest.
We are a short 5-minute drive from the village cafes and restaurants.

From the moment we made our first day trip to Metung we knew we wanted to have our own slice of heaven in this gorgeous town. We set about to find the perfect piece of land that was away from the village with water views. We purchased the land with the view to retiring here however we couldn't resist building a beautiful retreat called Lakeview Retreat Metung to wanted to share it with you. 6 months later we purchased and renovated our winter escape in Metung, Mountford Cottage.
