This property is located halfway between Thredbo and Jindabyne, making it easy to explore the best of The Snowy Mountains.

Facing out onto a secluded meadow overlooking the Thredbo Valley, this cabin is an Aussie Alpine dream. Located on a 100-acre block you will gain access to local intel and life a-top the ridge. With a sun-soaked deck and a firepit for the evenings, you will never want to go inside.

Disclaimers

The driveway to the house is about 800m long and is gravel. Due to the high altitude in this location, the driveway can have snow on it, particularly in winter and early spring. For this reason, an all-wheel-drive vehicle with good tyres are recommended.

There may be occasions during heavy snowfalls when the driveway is inaccessible and you have to walk into the property. For this reason, winter guests should be physically capable of walking up steep driveway in snow. We will assist you in whatever ways we can.

There may be occasions where wild weather, wind, and storms sweep through the valley. So if you are uncomfortable sleeping in a cabin during stormy weather please do not book this.

My wife and I booked this place for 5 days and it was exactly what we needed. An amazing time off grid (with great wifi 😏) and soaking in the stunning views. Though a tiny house, it was surprisingly ...spacious and loved how the host has put such detail into the decor which gave it that “perfect slice of heaven” feeling. Thanks to Leah for being an exceptional host and super responsive. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for just some time to get away and forget yesterdays worries 😊.

We absolutely loved the Crest. You feel a million miles away from everything but only a 6 minute drive to the Skitube. The views are absolutely stunning. The house itself is so cosy and well appointed... with everything you could need. The projector was a welcome surprise! Leah was so helpful and easy to contact whilst respectful of our space.

The Crest Tiny House was amazing ... hidden away amongst the bush we totally switched off and relaxed! The facilities were fantastic and the Tiny House worked very well for our needs. We hiked during ...the day, cooked in the fully functional kitchen and sat by the fire pit at night! We had deer, emus (with babies in tow), walabies and other wild life on our doorstep.

Wildbrumby Schnapps Vodka And Gin Distillery

Stop off at Wildbrumby on your Alpine Way explorations. It's on a big, open site and they serve a vast range of homemade schnapps, vodka and gin. Perfect pick-me-up on your way past! They also serve food here.

River Fishing

Thredbo River meanders from Thredbo to Lake Jindabyne and is a fly fishing haven. Near Bullocks Hut, at the junction of Thredbo River and Little Thredbo River, is a lovely fishing spot.

If you're in the mood to do some drive-by sightseeing, check out Alpine Way. It'll take you through some absolutely stunning scenery.

Right at the end, you'll find a sweet little campground called "Tom Groggin campground" which is a popular but spacious place to set up your tent, with a clean little river running through it.

Refreshing River Dip

Thredbo Diggings Campground was a great spot to park and take an afternoon dip. I was too cold to get in, so I sat and enjoyed the sun while Andy cooled off his Tassie blood in the snow melted waters. There's only a little bit of parking for day use of the river, but we lucked out and got a weekday spot. Try your luck, it's worth it.

If you can't find a park turn around and head out to the lake in Jindabyne for your water fix. Not as much of a vibe but it'll do the trick.

The Hike Less Travelled Mt Stilwell

This was an easy 3.8km return hike to a very windy but beautiful summit. Andy had broken his foot 3 months ago, and he could do this hike with some ease. We were the only ones up there for sunset, which was a nice change of pace. We found a break behind the rocks from the wind and watched the golden hues dance across the mountains—a really lovely way to end our time in Jindabyne.
