The perfect spot to get out of the city and breathe. The view is awesome and the toddler loved seeing the sheep come to visit our front/back door every day, and the cows Earline the property!! Place w...as clean and tidy. We were a close drive to a couple of the local towns. The kitchen could be better equipped with a couple more pots and pans to make it that bit easier to stay in and make dinners, but we made do!! The only consideration, if you are bringing kids/pets, and want to run the fire place, was there was no fire place guard.

So beautiful to be back up this incredible hill again. Our stay in these awesome container homes was lovely. Adored watching the weather roll in, watching eagles soar, our dogs playing freely, the bat...h with the view and the awesome wood fire to keep us toasty and warm. John and Sarah are awesome hosts too!

Agnes Falls

About a half hour drive from Yarram, the Agnes River drops sixty metres creating a beautiful drop over many stone ledges. The surrounding grounds are well kept as a public picnic area - a delightful place for lunch. Access is from Welshpool; take the road opposite the primary school. The falls are well signposted. The falls are a 39 minute drive away.

Mighty Agnes Falls

This incredible waterfall is somewhat unexpected amidst the rolling Gippsland hills. A monstrous cascade that tumbles 59 metres down a rocky gorge, making it Victoria's highest single-span falls. There's a meandering 200m walk to the viewpoint which offers a feast for the eyes of cattlefarms meeting the wild bush and the mighty Agnes River that runs through the hills.

Long Jetty Stroll

The historic Long Jetty at nearly 900 metres long is perfect for a relaxing stroll. Recently renovated and reopened after a fire, Long Jetty has been around since the 1930's when it served as a major fishing link through Bass Strait and Tasmania. Check out the clear water and fishing action, great for a sunset view as well.

Fishing At Port Welshpool

Enjoy fishing off the port pier or on the sandy shores. The waters of Port Welshpool are well known to fishermen for swimming flathead, snapper and gummy sharks.

Port Welshpool Fish Chips

Worth the stop in this sleepy seaside town to grab the best fish and chips around! Authentic home-cut chips with fish that's freshly brought in from the wharf opposite. The tastiest we've found in a long time!
