Located in beautiful Westsound, 5 min from the ferry, newly renovated cedar cabin with partial water view. Lovely traditional style, comfortable and perfect for your group's Orcas stay. Great, views, outdoor spaces, fire pit, BBQ, lrg spa, 55 inchTV w/5.1 surround. Steps from marina. Holds up to 6, 2 bedrooms (2 queens), plus comfy pull out Queen bed on the sun porch. Ping pong in game room garage. Large yard with apple and pear tree for delicious eating. Kayak rentals available including Life vests.

Enjoy the abundant wildlife that commonly visit the front yard (deer, peacocks, geese) and eagles that live in the surrounding forest. A true experience you will never forget!

Westsound is a very safe and small community of very friendly people. Being a small island, crime is rare, violence is nearly unheard of, people throughout the island are very respectful and friendly...a fun place to kick back!

A 4-minute drive to ferry landing that has a food market and deli + first-class restaurant at the Orcas hotel and nice gift shop. The town of Eastsound is a 10 minute drive with many restaurants, shops, supermarket and much more.
Summertime shuttle passes thru Westsound + Taxi service and car rentals also available. Hitchhiking is also taken advantage of by many here on Orcas.

Walking distance to Westsound marina and Kenmore Air seaplane dock.
If canceling regardless of our strict cancelation policy, If another party books any of the dates you had canceled, those days will be fully refunded to you less any platform fees.

We had an amazing weekend at the Cedar Orchard Cabin! It was the perfect place to balance exploring the island and relaxing. The sun room has gorgeous views perfect for sipping on your morning coffee ...and watching the sunset, and the hot tub was just right after a day of hiking. John was a great host and had lots of information about the island to share. Hope to be back sometime!

Cedar Orchard Cabin was such an amazing place to stay in. The location, the amenities, the unique layout of the property and the peacocks were some of the most memorable parts of our experience! This ...cabin was the perfect getaway to relax and unwind on the island and we had such a great time exploring the many different places on the island all within forty minutes or less from the cabin. We really enjoyed the sights and sound of the nature and the roosters cooing. Those peacocks were so curious and very entertaining to interact with! The cabin was so spacious and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. A big thank you to John for hosting us and to Arthur for showing us around the property and for all the assistance! Highly recommend this cabin for anyone who is visiting Orcas Island for the first time!

I've been coming to Orcas Island for 63 years! It has a special magic that really pulls you in and keeps you coming back. I've done many things in my life and now that I'm retired, I so much enjoy sharing The Cedar Orchard Cabin and my 2 cottages at the Sunburnt Mermaid B&B with the wonderful guests I have had the pleasure to meet over the last 3 years! Hopefully everyone feels the magic of Westsound and want to come back again for the rest of their lives!

Enjoy our private beach and tidelands. Kayak rentals available to explore Westsounds beautiful shoreline + Picnic Island is less than 1000 feet from shore to have a picnic and explore as you are frequently entertained by seals and otters as you paddle around.

Kingfish At Westsound

The chef sources his ingredients fresh from local farms including his own home garden! Open only Wednesday through Saturday from 5 pm to 9 pm with limited occupancy, it is highly recommended to either call or stop by the day before to make a reservation. We ordered the wiener schnitzel and it was simply delicious.

Ship Peak

This 2.7-mile loop and a moderately steep hike will take you up to the top of Turtleback Mountain with a breathtaking view of Crow Valley, a view of the ocean and the islands! Highly recommend heading up for sunrise to experience that nice morning glow.

Rosario Resort Museum And Spa

Make a trip out to the Rosario Resort, Museum and Spa which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The self-guided museum showcases the history of this resort and the life of Robert Moran, a shipbuilder who moved to Orcas Island and began constructing the Moran Mansion in the early 1900s.

The resort property neighbours one of Washington's premier state parks, Moran State Park. Moran offered Washington State thousands of acres to become one of Washington's first State Parks.
