Situated 50 minutes north of Hornsby on the M1 motorway and 65 minutes south of the Hunter Valley. The name Kulnura meaning "up in the clouds" truly captures the essence of this quaint country town in the Central Coast hinterland. Close to Sydney yet you will feel worlds away surrounded by stunning native bush and farms. The district holds many attractions including boutique cafes, artisan and farmers markets, bushing walks and horse riding. The Cottage
The cottage is situated at the top of the property overlooking the orchard. Upon arrival you will experience a sense of serenity as the view enchants you to another world.
The cottage contains two queen size bedrooms. Beds are fitted with luxury mattress toppers, quality cotton and linen bedding.***Note when booking for a couple one room will be prepared.
The farmhouse kitchen is newly renovated with modern appliances including a Smeg oven, ceramic cooktop, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Morning coffee is a must so there is a Nespresso pod machine and milk frother. The pantry contains tea, coffee, pods, milk, granola, oil, salt and pepper.
Attached to the kitchen is a country style dining room with bifold doors extending onto the deck and overlooking the orchard. There is an old jacaranda tree right off the deck which provides an enchanting backdrop for evening BBQ’s and sunset drinks.
The bathroom features original tiling and contains a tub-shower. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and a hairdryer are provided.
There are two lounge rooms. One has a television and is all about getting cozy in front of the wood fire place and watching Netflix. The second is the Prunus Persica room. Perfect for popping prosecco, getting lost in a book or board games.
To keep you comfortable the cottage contains a reverse cycle air conditioner, ceiling fans in the lounge and bedrooms, a wood fueled fireplace and luxury down doonas for the cooler months.

Things to note
We aim to give you complete privacy on your stay however please note Alandale Fruits is a commercial working orchard and our home. You may see us walking about tending to daily jobs. The nature of orchard work is quite and tranquil however you may hear the occasional tractor as the cottage is situated between two sheds (one is just for storage). There is a privacy screen situated between the cottage and shed. We absolutely welcome you to explore the trees but in order to keep the orchard working certain blocks may be limited. To ensure your safety all sheds are strictly prohibited.
There is good Optus reception, patchy Telstra and no vodafone.
We have a very friendly retriever x lab x kelpie dog called Phoebe. She will most likely be the first to welcome you. Please let me know if you have any concerns about dogs!

Orchard House is the perfect weekend getaway. It’s a great little house on a working avocado farm. The fresh bread and avocados were a great touch!
Amy is a great host, very responsive, and more than... happy to be on hand for any recommendations or questions.
We spent the weekend relaxing on the deck, exploring nearby bushwalks and waterfalls, and going out for great meals (recommended by Amy in the house information).
We will be recommending Orchard House to our friends!

Orchard House is so irresistibly charming in every way.

The way the modern features blend in with the original is amazing. Every detail is carefully thought through from the beautiful natives throug...hout the house, the linen and the lawn games in the cupboard.

No matter where you sit in the house, every window looks out to beautiful, relaxing scenery to allow you to lose yourself in the serenity and check out of the real world.

The misty morning walk through the orchids and down the lane was beautiful. A beautiful jasmine plant was growing and the scent flowing through the air was the perfect addition alongside the huge array of fresh local produce to pick up on the way in and out.

I had a few last minute changes and requests which Amy was so hospitable about and easy going. Our first riparide with a newborn and it was such a treat. Thank you for sharing your special place with us ♥️

I grew up on Alandale Fruit's and lived in Orchard House for my early childhood. I spent my 20's working in hospitality and travelling the world which served as a fabulous combination to meld my passion for culture, people and adventure. It was an accident that bought me back to the farm, a place I once considered a childhood chore transformed into a beautiful pallet to nurture and restore. For the last two years I have been restoring the cottage with the vision of creating a tranquil space for people to experience the beauty of orchards.

Lifes A Beach

If there's one thing that the Central Coast excels at, it's beaches. Whether you're a surfer, a swimmer, or like me, just an avid ocean starer, the Central Coast has a beach for every occasion. Some of my personal favourites include Avoca, Lobster, Patonga, and Umina but you really can't go wrong.

Circuit Flat Walking Track

Nature filled walking loop. Featuring great views and an old convict bridge.
