The Mountains Are Calling
Adventure in Jindabyne, Snowy Mountains, NSW, AU
During the peak of the recent floods in northern New South Wales, we managed to make our way down to Jindabyne and it was the perfect escape.
The moody weather, cute cafes and cosy home that Eliza Lee One provided left us feeling inspired and refreshed. We spent a lot of our time soaking up the serenity indoors either reading, connecting with each other or drinking way too many cups of tea!
When the weather permitted, we got out to explore nearby beauties like Thredbo and Lake Jindabyne. The fresh mountain and lake air did us good and was broken up nicely with breakkie and snacks at a local cafe. In spite of what you might think, we were so happy that it was cold and moody because it gave us a chance to really appreciate the accommodation and enjoy what felt like an early winter escape.

This cafe crossed with a health shop was the perfect breakkie spot! We stocked up on some healthy snacks, had a yummy breakfast and hands down the best chai lattes we've ever had!
Even though it was raining, we headed down to Lake Jindy and explored all around. Such a stunning spot!
Most places were shut in Thredbo at this time of year, but we had a gorgeous drive through the mountains and took some photos around the riverbed!
