Two-Story Treehouse and Fire Lookout Adventures
Adventure in Snohomish, Greater Seattle, WA, US
We climbed the wooden staircase, cafe lights guiding the way, and rounded the corner to find the gorgeous two-story treehouse peeking out from behind the pines. It was so peaceful!
We lit the fire, barbecued some burgers and had a cozy evening before climbing the spiral staircase to our bed for the night. Morning coffee on the wrap-around deck was perfection. We brought our own French press, but a Keurig and pods are provided. Now for a hike!
Mt Pilchuck is just under an hour away from the treehouse – it's a challenging five-mile, round-trip hike because of its significant elevation gain, but the fire lookout views from the top are well worth it! Back down, we took a dip and watched water-skiers at nearby Roesiger Lake before grabbing dinner at The Pines (fried chicken sandwich for me, deliciously battered fish and chips for Lisa).
I couldn't wait to get back to the treehouse to soak my tired muscles in the beautiful tub, so we climbed the staircase (which never gets old), I poured myself a glass of wine and settled in for a bath with a forest view. Magical.

Lake Roesiger Park is a small lakefront public area with picnic tables, a designated, roped swimming area, and a grassy space to relax.
This 5.2-mile, out-and-back hike is rated "hard" for its decent elevation gain (2,122 feet), but the fire lookout views are well worth it! The hike weaves through forest, over boulder fields, and ends at an old fire lookout overlooking the Cascades. Ideal.
A vibey PNW-themed restaurant serving British food (bangers and mash anyone?), craft beer, and cocktails with an outdoor patio.
