Magnolias On Mernda
Adventure in Olinda, Dandenong Ranges, VIC, AU
As we drove further up Mount Dandenong, the ambiance became more and more peaceful - I knew we were about to enjoy a relaxing few days. Magnolias On Mernda is surrounded by a beautiful established garden and ancient trees and proved to be the perfect location to unplug. There's a beautiful herb garden in the backyard, so we helped ourselves and enjoyed a meal on the front verandah overlooking the lush garden.
After familiarising ourselves with the property, and knowing we had a comfy bed and cosy fireplace to indulge in later that evening, we decided to explore the local region. We were lucky to come across Proserpina Bakehouse, which had an abundance of beautiful offerings including great coffee and baked treats. We also explored 1000 Steps for a little exercise, and later indulged at Cognoscenti for an incredible fine dining experience.
After arriving back at the property, we kicked our shoes off and made the most of the outdoor bath, then moved over to the outdoor fireplace with some wine, snacks and easy conversation.
The home is styled beautifully, with many handpicked books, beautiful crockery, linen sheets and more. Between the the stylish interior, established garden, outdoor fireplace and bathhouse - this really is a place to enjoy and disconnect in pure comfort....
