Glamping in the Blue Mountains

Into the deep of the Blue Mountains and off the beaten track, we traversed the windy roads of Turon Gates. As the sun went down, painting a warm hue over the rolling hills, we reached our private sanctuary Birdsong - save for the kangaroos and mountain goats who greeted us!

The fairy lights illuminated the tent with a quiet welcome as we settled in, enjoying our complimentary Turnon Gates wine whilst cooking dinner on the BBQ.

We woke to the sound of kookaburras and shared a coffee on the balcony, although it wasn’t long before the sun was high enough for Lucy (our 3 yr old Border Collie) to plead for a swim. We floated in the water for a few hours before a glorious hike on sunset lookout. Detached from the socials and surrounded by nature at its most peaceful, Birdsong really is a quintessential weekend nature retreat.
