Pink Velvet Skies in Bushland Whispers
Adventure in Wentworth Falls, Blue Mountains, NSW, AU
They say magic finds you when you’re not looking for it. Maybe that’s why, under velvet pink skies in the hush of the outback, I found something I didn’t know I’d been craving — a quieter kind of joy.
That night, I lit a campfire and wished upon every shooting star for love and light to reach as many hearts as it could. The sky above glowed with hope and that soft kind of shine only dusk can offer. Curled up in flannelette sheets inside my little vintage caravan, I felt cocooned — a sweet kind of comfort that made my heart sing with ease. I stayed in that moment for a good while.
Camped in the arms of the Australian bush, I caught myself wondering as I sipped my morning tea: do we really need much more than this? I let my imagination run with that thought for another good while too. Just a stone’s throw away was the camp kitchen, where breakfast came on the house — a gift from our generous host. Tucked into the corner was a tiny art station that somehow knew exactly how to pull me in. That afternoon, I lost myself in brushstrokes and bush colours, painting to the rhythm of the land itself — raw, native, and beautifully Australian.
The nearby bathroom gave me more than just relief. It became a little path of discovery. Each slow wander there revealed hidden flowers and handmade sculptures. I’d set out on a quick mission but found myself pausing, sweetly enchanted. I was certainly busting by the time I arrived — but hey, it was worth it.
That night, I dreamt of wildflowers that bloomed forever, sea turtles that swam freely, and kind-hearted men with open hands, minds, and hearts.
Do you dare to dream like this too?
The next morning, sunlight kissed the land and I danced in it. The scent of eucalyptus wrapped around me like an old friend. I wandered through narrow paths laced with native orchids and flower-power wonder — heart-led and light-footed. There’s something sacred about solo wandering. The freedom. The serendipity. The quiet, unexpected beauty in simplicity.
And maybe, beneath those velvet pink skies, I started to fall in love. Not with humankind — but with life, just as it was, in the here and now.

On the property in the camp kitchen space features a cosy spot with indoor fire, paints, paper and paint brush options! I let my creative spirit run wild and I was over the moon to let myself go here!
I was so inspired by the natural of the native landscapes, I painted into the entire afternoon.

Gorgeously designed from the menu, food, service and decor at "Fed" cafe. What a vibe!
Made wishes upon all the shooting stars right outside my bedroom.
