Spa cabin with jaw dropping views

Cabin number three sits quietly at Yanakie. We arrived with the afternoon light still high and the promise of Wilson’s Prom opening out right in front of our very eyes! What a beauty!! Like my friend Amber. And the two of them together would make any blind man see. Bags stayed by the door while we stood still taking in view. Green folding into blue.. The landscape close enough to touch. The cabin felt warm from the moment we stepped inside. Wooden walls. Open space. Everything drawing your eyes back to the Prom. There was nothing excessive yet nothing missing. A bathroom. A kitchenette. A couch made for long conversations. A dining table waiting for shared meals. Large Bed. Heating and cooling. And the hero of the space the spa overlooking the view. Sah GOOD! We wasted no time. Shoes off. Music on. Water running. We slipped into the spa while the day slipped away outside. Two curly haired babes sinking deep into warm bubbles and the beginning of two slow nights together. Steam lifted. Laughter came easily. It already felt like a place designed to hold friendship, stillness and indulgence in equal measure. Fit for two Queens!

That first evening the light faded gently. Outside birds settled and wildlife moved freely across the grounds as if reminding us we were guests here. The cabin glowed softly and the world felt quieter than usual. We stayed in talking long past sunset wrapped in warmth and ease.

We woke early the next morning with no plans and no urgency. Coffee in bed with some outrageous bed hair! We embraced the wild like all curly girly’s do! The doors slid open wide. Morning air filled the cabin and everything felt gentle. Time stretched.. We stayed there longer than intended watching the light shift across the landscape. Be the kind of moment that will sit with me for a long time..

Later we drove into Wilson’s Prom and spent the day moving between beaches. Whisky Bay became our favourite. Wild, open and honest. Just the way we like our dates! Ha! We laughed when we spotted emus bathing in a pothole like they owned the road. We climbed rocks and watched two friends painting landscapes right there on the sand. It felt grounding. We swam bravely in the cold salty water, emerging exhilarated like mermaids.

That afternoon we roamed the property paddock and fed the local sheep and made instant friends. Curious eyes. Open mouth chewing. Sun shining bright. Simplicity at its finest.

Back at the cabin we cooked burgers on the barbecue and I made a spicy yoghurt sauce on instinct. Wine flowed. Music filled the kitchen. We danced barefoot on timber floors laughing without reason. The kind of joy that doesn’t ask for permission.

As night fell we returned to the spa. Floor to ceiling glass opened onto the verandah and the Prom stood quietly in full view. Ocean breeze on our faces. Warm jets holding us steady. Steam rising into the dark. Time slowed until nothing existed beyond warmth, water and that unforgettable view.
Leaving cabin number three felt complete. Like nothing had been missed. The laughter and the conversations and the still moments had filled the space exactly as they were meant to. The view remained wide and generous even as I packed the van. Amber left that morning back to her reality while I continued on with mine. I yoga’d with the ocean at Cabin No.3 before I drove away carrying the sense that I had been exactly where I needed to be for exactly as long as I was meant to stay.

Cabin No.3 is the place you need to be.

I watched the sunset from Shallow Inlet just above Wilsons Prom although anywhere on along that side of the Prom for a sunset would be amazing! Darby Beach. Fairy Cove. Whisky Bay. Picnic Bay... just to name a few.

Mornin' yoga on the deck was a wonderful way to begin the day especially with a view of Wilson's Prom like this one!

On the property, there's a couple of sheep to feed. Amber made friends very quickly with a bucket of feed given to us from the Host. Very friendly Baa-Baas!

So many stunning beaches in Wilsons Prom!
Whisky Bay was certainly at the top of my list and not a big touristy beach. I loved exploring around the giant rocks and had a little dip in the ocean! There's a look out too as well as Picnic Bay in the same area.
