A Peaceful Hinterland Escape
Adventure in Middle Pocket, North Coast, NSW, AU
Flying into the Gold Coast on Friday afternoon, we had a short drive South, pulling into The Vale's gravel driveway just as twilight gave way to darkness. Situated in the Byron Bay Hinterland, the luxury farm became our home for the weekend and a welcome escape from the crowds of nearby Byron.
Spending our mornings' bushwalking and exploring the secluded beaches of the Byron Bay coastline. We returned to The Vale for an afternoon of soaking in the outdoor bath, wandering through the golden fields surrounding the property, and enjoying a cheese board & drinks with friends on the shaded wrap-around verandah.
We spent nights cooking wood-fired pizzas and watching the sunset over the valley, stars filling the sky as we relaxed into conversations around the fire pit. Settling into the relaxed lifestyle way too comfortably, it wasn't easy leaving The Vale behind on Sunday to return to reality....
