Dream Stay at Bream Bay
Adventure in Langs Beach, Northland & Bay of Islands, NZ
This ex-art studio turned luxury 5-star stay is the centrepiece of a property that has seemingly endless secrets hidden around every corner.
Set between rolling hills, native bush and the ocean just a stone's throw away, you'll find yourself immersed in natural heaven. With bird song and the roar of the ocean as our soundtrack, we discovered the unexpected delights that The Potting Shed has to offer.
We spent two magical days playing on the beach, roaming the fruit orchards, feeding the ducks, exploring the bush (see if you can find the button-activated waterfall and the old telephone box!) and soaking in the stunning outdoor cedar tub.
All the toys you could ever dream of for that quintessential kiwi summer holiday are available to use. Surfboards, kayaks, standup paddleboards, fishing rods and even a small boat.
Our boy loved exploring the picturesque seaside vegetable garden and visiting the oceanfront chicken run.
Every detail has been thought of and more. Between the champagne on arrival, delicious three-course dinners, fully stocked mini-bar, organic breakfast and use of the private beach, we couldn't fault this experience. So much so, that we didn't want to leave this idyllic property our whole stay.
The Potting Shed offered us the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation and we can't wait to visit again!...

A stunning location just across from Waipu Cove Beach and a delicious new menu to boot, this isn't your average small-town cafe. Super accomodating to our little one, fast service and a great selection of craft beers. We loved our feast by the sea. Don't forget to check out their treat cabinet before you leave!...
