We arrived at the beautiful cottage and our first impressions were everything we imagined and more. The instant feeling was 'dream escape'. The cabin was situated right on the river with a waterfall literally going underneath the cabin. On the deck we noticed an amazing outdoor bathtub which we indulged in straight away, the perfect way to wind down after a long drive. We popped a bottle of wine and enjoyed the sunset reflecting on the river. Feeling completely relaxed from the bath we put on our complimentary robes and got cozy in the comfortable bed.

In the morning we slept in and decided to pull out the Webber BBQ to cook a yummy breakfast to have on the deck. We were excited to head downriver to the beach, so walked over to our private boat shed filled with kayaks and a very photogenic old canoe. We paddled down the river for 25 minutes, reaching a stunning crystal clear beach which we had to ourselves. After kayaking home we had a little nap to re-energise before taking the canoe onto the river with some wine and blankets during the sunset. It was truly incredible, a literal 'Notebook' moment that we had looked forward to for the months leading up to this stay. It did not disappoint, the river was like glass and as the sun went down the colours got more and more magical.

On our last morning we went for a walk around the huge property and through the amazing gardens to the local swimming hole where we were greeted by cows and the owner's cute dog, Charlie. We had a swim and said goodbye to the cottage, after what was a truly magical stay.
