Macquarie Pass Falls
Waterfall in Macquarie Pass, NSW
Macquarie Pass Falls is located in the Macquarie Pass National Park. The beginning of the walk starts on the bottom left of the pass, if you were heading to Robertson up the pass.
The walk begins with you following a gravel road then develops into a worn path following a stream that will be found on your left. From here it is very easy to reach the first of the cascades. The first stop offers a lovely view of some falls with a great place to sit down on some rocks and have a snack or two. Reaching this point is very easy and does not require a great level of fitness.
The next section of cascades requires you to climb. To do this you must cross the river and look for the worn in path that will take you upwards. If you continually follow this path it will take you to the top of the falls. Some of these spots allow for swimming as well as great views in the distance and gorgeous scenery.
