Cozy Cottage on Countryside Creek

If you need a quiet location in a small but charming cottage with high speed Wi-Fi to work remotely so that you can fish/hike/river raft/bicycle/nap in the afternoons, then we just might be a perfect fit for each other. No air conditioning needed as this is in shade from the majestic trees and cool breeze from the creek.

We are the perfect gateway location to everything outdoors up the river for hiking, biking, kayaking, rafting, fishing and more. We are also just a short trip back in to town for amazing restaurants and events such as Oregon Ducks sports, or concerts at the Mathew Knight Arena.

We have hi-speed internet for streaming your favorite shows and hosting video conference calls. The sleeping arrangements are two full size beds (one futon couch and one standard bed). Cooking is done on a 2 burner hot plate, microwave, and BBQ grill. Full bathroom with hot shower is just perfect after your all day outdoor adventures.

Just come and have a relaxing, no worries, chillaxing time at our cottage. Yes, it is small, but it is also cozy and is all kinds of just perfect for your stay.

This is in a rural setting with plenty of parking. In fact, parking is inside the private fenced area of the cottage. We are less than a mile from the main Highway 126, offering plenty of peaceful relaxation.

You will likely want to stop at the Albertson's grocery store near the McDonalds in Springfield before heading up the river as that is the nearest full service grocery store. Halfway between there and our cottage, is a Dollar General store with limited food offerings. There are 4 restaurants with in 10 minutes from the cottage and an amazing one called Takodas just 30 minutes up the river from us. There are 3 gas stations with in 10 minutes as well.

During your stay, you can book a rafting trip, guided fishing trip, go hiking, kayaking, fishing, see waterfalls, visit a fish hatchery, soak in the Belknap hot springs, and more. Ask us for more advice for activities.
This tiny home cottage is separate and private from the rest of our property and home. Comes with its own fenced in area for privacy.

Pictures are taken and logged of the property to document cleanliness and readiness before each new guest.

This is a non-smoking property.

The main property is off limits which includes use of the pool, porch swings, zip line, and trampoline.

Small pets are welcome as long as they are 100% house trained and obedience trained. Be aware that we have two small dogs ourselves and 2 cats. Your pet must be able to ignore them and not cause a disturbance. Your pet is to be in your presence at all times and to never be left alone on the property. Pets are subject to a modest fee for additional cleaning. Additionally, while the cottage has a fence on 3 sides of the property and a creek on the 4th side, the area is not escape proof for protection as they could easily jump over the creek and enter the roadway. Your judgement is required to determine if the area is safe for your pet. Guests will be responsible for any scratches and damages from the pet.

We are on a septic tank, so nothing other than bodily wastes and toilet paper can go down the toilet. No feminine products, disposable wipes, paper towels, food scraps, etc. can be flushed down the toilet.

No un-registered guests. Extra guests may be subject to a $25 fee for each person.

No local guests or last minute bookings.

No parties or events, small gatherings permitted.

No changing of locks or door codes.

No removal of any furnishings or appliances.

Usage of utilities are for normal usage amounts.

No illegal substances on the property, or the illegal use of substances.

No eating or drinking on the bed.

Furniture is not to be re-arranged.

Early check in or a late check out may be permitted when possible, a small fee may apply. Failure to check out on time will result in the following fees : $50.00 after 30 minutes, after 90 minutes of the stated check out time the guest is responsible for one day's rent at the current bar rate (this does not purchase or reserve any additional time on the property), as well as responsible for any fees and refunds that are paid to other incoming guests that are affected by the delay in cleaning services, and all fees associated with delayed cleaning services. Additionally, at this point local law enforcement officers will be requested to remove your party and property from the cottage and rental property.

Guest agrees to pay for all damages exceeding any security deposits collected.

Respect the towels and sheets. Where needed, use special towels for makeup removal.

Additional cleaning fees are beyond the standard cleaning fee when needed.
