Large (3,200 sq. ft.) four bedroom house, with lots of room for the entire family (and extended family). Located in the middle of Kittitas County, surrounded by 40 acres of pasture- this is a great country escape. We have large south facing valley views with lots of natural light and northern views of Mission Ridge. Located close to Ellensburg and CWU (10 minutes), Suncadia (40 minutes), Leavenworth (1 hour) and Vantage (40 minutes). We can accommodate 8 adults with up to 2 children.

Our large house is in the middle of 40 acres of farmland. It’s quiet (no neighbors close- unless you count the cows!) and has great views. We have a large yard and two patios with a grill. Seasonally we a large outdoor propane fire pit and an outdoor bonfire area. We have two large living rooms, with a 75 inch TV (great for watching games).

Guests will have full access to the house and yard, including garden area.

This is a two story farmhouse (master on ground level). We live in the country
- with wind, dust, bugs, snow and ice. Kittitas County is known for wind (known as the Ellensburg wind). We can occasionally receive multiple inches of snow and ice during the winter - please keep that in mind when booking our home. We do have outside security cameras at each entrance (front door, back door and patio).

Additional Information

We want guests to have a comfortable place to sleep and have plenty of room to relax! The house is set up for 10 guests (including kids). Please do not bring additional guests into the house, unless we've made prior arrangements. We are always happy to work with guests in advance!

We’d love guests to take shoes off in the house, but it’s especially important In winter and “mud season”. Ice melt will ruin our floors, along with standing water. We will leave out a boot tray in the winter for shoes/boots.

Please no parties and/or events.

Do not enter the cows field! They are not pets and the electric fence is HOT.

Our house does not allow Pets. Deep cleaning fee of $500 (plus any damage) could be charged if pets are brought in. We have a daughter who is highly allergic and we do live in the house part of the year. Honestly, we love pets- but not in the house.

The septic is sensitive - please do not put food or food scraps in the garbage disposal. The toilets cannot handle anything other than toilet paper- no wipes, paper towels, diapers, sanitary products, etc. The garbage disposal cannot handle food.

Fire place, Fire Pit and Grill should never be left unattended. These amenities may be out of order due to the season. We also have an outdoor bonfire area that can be used in the fall and winter. Failure to comply with this policy will result in immediate dismissal from our property. We want everyone safe and our house to remain standing. Please do not leave those items left unattended.

**Fire Pit's - The fire pit's can only be used if there is no wind and if there is no burn ban in place. Typically it will be out of use in the Spring and Summer. The propane fire pit cannot be left on for more than 2 consecutive hours at a time. It will need a 2 hour break before being used again. This is very important to us for safety for guests and the house.

Please clean the grill after use.

We had a wonderful visit at this beautiful farmhouse! The kitchen is well stocked and the house is definitely set up to be able to have a fun time. Our girls enjoyed the books and games and Katrina (t...he host) gave us great ideas for things to do around the area! The beds were so comfortable and the master bedroom shower is a dream! We spent time playing basketball on the blacktop, eating local, hiking, and playing in the large backyard. The Mountain views are stunning especially paired with the epic sunsets! Highly recommend!!

Adam and I (Katrina) grew up in Ellensburg, and moved back “home” after living 8 years in downtown Seattle. We love the wide open space of Eastern Washington - the air is fresh and the land is quiet!

The Porch

We went to The Porch after we visited the farmers market. It's just a few blocks away and they weren't busy. Best of all, the food was so good!

Farmers Market

The Farmers Market in Ellensburg did NOT disappoint. Beautiful ceramics, great food, wonderful produce and extremely nice people.

The Red Pickle

The Red Pickle was a really fun environment! The food and drinks were amazing and we actually ended up staying later and chatting with a family we met there. Order "The Messy" – it will not disappoint!

Take the regular route or take the scenic route. If you're a fan of epic scenic views, I highly recommend you take the Yakima River Canyon road that starts in Ellensburg and leads you back to Hwy I-90 towards the city of Yakima.

You'll experience amazing views of the canyons that have been carved out by the Yakima River. There are a handful of turnouts and parks, where you can pull out and enjoy the view or stop for a picnic. About a quarter of the way through, you can stop by the popular Umtanum Creek Recreational Site and walk across the suspension bridge.
