Additional Information

Halem House is the perfect retreat for couples, large families or groups. This open concept log cabin features an enormous kitchen/dining room/living room with an automatic fed pellet stove.

The first floor features vaulted ceilings, three bedrooms, a renovated bathroom, and laundry.

The second floor consists of an office, a TV room, and a large master suite with a spa-like modern glass shower bathroom.

This home is an ideal cabin stay in the middle of wine country. As part of their stay, guests will receive a complimentary bottle of wine from grapest that were grown right on the property.

The home features smart home technology with keyless entry. There is a large satellite TV to watch all your favorite shows.

Enjoy nature by walking through the one acre vineyard, selecting produce from the garden, or picking fruit off of the various apple and pear trees (seasonal). There is also a fire pit to gather around and make s'mores or just enjoy the fresh Oregon air. Furthermore, as the property is located on 10 acres in the forest, you can take advantage of nature hikes. Or, adventure off the property and take a stroll down the gravel road that leads to the home.

The house is located in the middle of the forest, off a gravel road. Because of it's seclusion, the internet is fast and available, but should not be used to download movies or other activities that use a lot of data. You will have no problem streaming Netflix and other shows, working, and other typical internet tasks.

My parents built this house by themselves nearly forty years ago. It's where I grew up and a special place I look forward to sharing with you!

Wine Tasting At Arborbrook Vineyards

We loved our wine tasting flight + charcuterie from Arborbrook Vineyards. Tastings are $30 per person and are waived with each $100 wine purchase. This is a seated indoor experience.

Stopped for breakfast and coffee at this grab and go market and brought it back to the house to enjoy on the porch! Highly recommend the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy.

Exploring Historic Downtown Camas

Downtown Camas is only about 8 blocks and is surrounded by creeks, trails, and the mighty paper mill. Spend hours popping into wine bars, restaurants, antique shops, and even the old movie theatre. This town is full of old-timey charm.

Surprisingly, there are numerous options for bagels in this small town. Cedar Street Bagel Company is *the* place. They even have vegan and gluten-free options too!

Lacamas Park is huge. If you're lucky, you can spot Camas Lilies (which the town was named after) in the lily field during certain times of the year.
