HOUSE DETAILS
There are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other with a kids bunk plus a trundle (so 3 single berths).
Please note, with the trundle in use there's not much floor space in the kids room, so it's not really suitable for older teens or adults. The house is not suitable for 4 or more adults.
There is one internal bathroom with a shower and small bath. Plus an outdoor shower (with hot water) for a warming freshy upon your return from the beach.
We also have a vintage 1958 Sunliner caravan "Sonny" that can sleep a couple more (or for a kids camp out) in summer. Please note that the use of the caravan is subject to request and consideration of neighbours is paramount.
The lounge, entrance, dining and kitchen are all one cosy open plan space with an open fireplace. There's also a new gas heater (too warm up quickly in winter) and an air con and fans for summer.
Enjoy the suset on the front deck in a butterfly chair or cozy up around our outdoor brazier.
Use of our vintage caravan as extra bedding is subject to request.
Sorry no pets allowed....

Fishing at Flinders Pier
The Flinders Pier is a large pier made from wood. At the end of the pier the water is about 6m deep with sand and seaweed patches surrounding the area. It is the weed that provides shelter for calamari, while whiting feed in the sand patches. Soft plastic anglers can also fish from this pier as the water is usually crystal clear and the tide doesn’t run too hard in this area....
Exploring the local area
Flinders is uniquely positioned at the western tip of Western Port Bay, so it's the heel of the Mornington Peninsula's boot. So you can experience both the wind-protected and mellow bay beaches and the wild ocean shores in the same walk.
Flinders ocean beach features the protected Mushroom Reef, which offers an underwater paradise to ocean lovers and a myriad of breaks for surfers. Inside the bay, the jetty is ideal for scuba divers and snorkellers to discover weedy seadragons, colourful sponges, giant rays and octopus. The pier is also popular with anglers and jetty jumpers.
The bay is also a great place for kayaking and stand up paddling, with some gentle, long waves rolling on the points.
There's a load of great walking options, around the village, beaches or just down the road at the beautiful bushrangers Bay. For those more adventurous, the Two Bays Trail lets you explore the peninsula's green wedge which is rich in biodiversity....

This is hands down our favourite place we've stayed in. The Nuthouse has been adoringly furnished with retro/vintage wares that not only look great, but are also functional!
we thoroughly enjoyed the open fire, playing records, board games and exploring the garden. It was a quick drive to Cape Schanck and a number of wineries and beaches.
We can't wait to be back!...
