Window to Wonderland

We drove the quaint country roads through Mornington Peninsula to reach our destination on the doorstep of the national park coastline. When the Rye Glass House revealed itself, immersed in lush native Australian bushland, we were wow'ed by this striking architectural escape.

We explored the grounds admiring the bold architecture and minimal design. Every detail was considered and beautifully curated, providing a stylish escape with modern amenities - we instantly fell in love.

The well-placed pool overlooks the house, and the spacious open-plan house is flooded with natural light offering a sense of tranquility and calm. This is complemented by the plywood walls, polished concrete floors, and bold steel staircase – you really feel at one with nature in this space. Sliding open the grand glass doors, revealed the seamless flow of indoor and outdoor living. We spent our days basking in the sunlight and evenings serenaded by the soothing rhythm of crashing waves nearby.

Venturing out, we explored the nearby national park and pristine beaches. We stumbled upon a hidden rock pool where we cooled off with a refreshing swim. Returning home, we indulged in our private heated pool under the evening sky, watching as the stars emerged one by one.

Point Leo Estate provided a stunning sculptural exhibition, such a great spot to grab lunch and a nice bottle of wine. We drove the winding roads through Arthurs Seat and Flinders, the views were breathtaking. Driving along the winding roads through Arthurs Seat and Flinders, we were treated to stunning views that affirmed Mornington Peninsula's status as a world-class destination, just an hour away from Melbourne.

We grabbed some food from the Peninsula Fresh Seafood truck from Safety Beach and drove to Mount Martha to hide between the beach boxes to escape the sun. This was possibly the best fish n' chips we've ever had. I'll be dreaming of this till next time I'm down the Peninsula.
