Our family of four, including our two young children, absolutely loved our stay at this glamping accommodation in Russell. Although there was no phone reception or internet, we honestly didn’t miss it... at all because there was so much to do and enjoy.
Before arriving, we ordered the home-baked bread, dips, and free-range eggs, and we would strongly recommend doing the same — everything was fresh and delicious.
During the day, there was plenty to explore around the property. We especially enjoyed the private walking track in the mornings. The kids had a fantastic time on the flying fox and in the tree house, and they loved encountering the birds and animals around the accommodation.
One of the highlights of our stay was hiring the night vision goggles and heading out at night to look for nocturnal birds. We didn’t manage to spot any kiwis, but we were excited to see several ruru instead.
The fireplace created such a cozy atmosphere, and sitting with a cup of coffee while listening to the raindrops felt incredibly peaceful — the perfect escape from busy work life.
Claire was nearby and incredibly helpful, always accommodating our needs with kindness and care.
We absolutely loved our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

We could not have wished for better. We were lucky to be gifted this trip away for some much needed R&R and that is exactly what we got. The most idyllic setting, peaceful & restful. Loved the fire at... night. Love the ducks and the sweet lab. Bed was super comfy and kitchen and bathroom had all that we needed.
Easy to find, close enough to pop to Russell as well. The hosts are lovely. Cannot recommend enough and we are trying to figure out when we can go back. Thank you.
