'The Dairy' was one of the original dairy milking sheds in Upper Kangaroo River. This cottage has been lovingly restored and creatively transformed into luxury accommodation using reclaimed and recycled materials. A luxurious eco-haven for a peaceful escape from the everyday world! The three sets of French doors, which used to allow three cows in to be milked at once, now allow the living area to be opened to the alfresco dining area which is covered by an old wisteria vine with an outdoor barbeque and pizza oven for you to enjoy. The Dairy is set on a 160 acre working farm with walking tracks where you can explore and admire breathtaking views of the Kangaroo Valley.
Broger’s End is a piece of heaven that is bordered by the Kangaroo River and Broger’s Creek, offering self-catered eco-eclectic luxury accommodation and a peaceful escape from the everyday world!

Thank you so so much, we absolutely loved our time here and are already planning a return visit. From the moment we arrived and were greeted by the mooing of the lovely Angus cows and the wine on the ...table we felt at home. Everything little detail was lovingly thought of and we appreciated all the effort and time that must've gone into creating such a beautiful space. The garden is stunning, the chickens lovely and the fireplace created such a warm glow that made sleep easy and comforting. Loved the local pub and drives, pioneer village was a lot of fun and loved how many friendly little wombats greeted us at brogers end.
Perfect spot to use when seeing the valley and also if you just wanted a couple of days away from it all :)

We loved our stay here. It was a trek for us from Melbourne but worth it. The misty mornings and rustic decor transported you away from everyday life. Our dog loved exploring too!

Upper Kangaroo River
2Listings
Sarah and Phil are a Sydney couple with four kids and day jobs, why would we spend so much energy on such a massive project? We believe that climate change and our current lifestyle is not sustainable and we hope to provide an opportunity for inspiration and transformation as well as relaxation. Sarah is from Canada, and her father was before his time in teaching his three daughters about nature, camping and canoeing, not to mention wholemeal bread and muesli, before it was fashionable! Despite having spent most of her life in the city, Sarah is most at home in the bush and on the farm, growing stuff, regenerating the forest and swimming in the river! This farm is a tribute to all her family, especially her Dad.
Tori deals with the day to day management of Broger's End and is always willing to help with any needs or questions you may have.

Swimming Fishing Kayaking On The Property
River frontage for swimming, fishing, canoeing, kayaking (equipment can be hired in the village). Broger's End is set on the Kangaroo River, just 100m from the front doors - perfect for swimming or relaxing by - take a blanket and a picnic. The river you would have crossed to get here is great for swimming! The best place is probably in line with the shed but feel free to go exploring for other spots!
You can also find some great fresh water spots in the valley. Try under Hampden Bridge (the big sandstone bridge on the way to the village), or Flat Rock (a short drive by 4WD or adventurous car only).

Driving The Bends In The Valley
Kangaroo Valley has some of the most beautiful winding roads with spectacular views from the tops of the mountains. Every road in the Valley leads to a different amazing view and a totally different environ - Upper River is all rainforest and lush greenery while Tallowa Dam Rd is all about real aussie bushlands. Wind up and down Moss Vale road on both sides of the Valley or snake through beautiful farmland on Watamolla Rd and pop out in Berry.
The Local Area
Head further afield into town and go kayaking down the Kangaroo River, hike to Drawing Room Rocks, go Horse riding in Budgong, Rock climbing on the Burma Trail or Mountain bike down Canon Ball from Fitzroy Falls. You can even bring your own horse to our property and go for a gallop though the paddocks.
Mountain Biking And Road Biking
Kangaroo Valley is well known for some excellent downhill mountain bike tracks the drop in through the Morton National Park. The winding roads in and out of the Valley are also a favourite for road bikers.
Secluded Swimming Holes
While we weren't fortunate to enjoy swimming weather, this place is on my list to return to in summer!
Sunrise Views
I've never regretted getting up to watch the sun rise. What's not to love about the peacefulness of this time of day?
Carrington Falls
We explored the beautiful Carrington Falls located in Budderoo National Park. Waterfalls abound in this part of the world!
