Surfers Corner on Wamberal Beach

We parked up nearby and joined the friendly locals down at the massive beach. Super central, and great little waves!

Being a surfer on the Central Coast is like being a kid in a candy shop. If you’re keen to find a wave, you’ll have a variety of options all within a short drive. Avoca Beach is one of the most consistent spots on the coast and the beach break offers a variety of peaks to catch a wave. As always, don’t forget to wrap up your session with a healthy serving of fish and chips on the sand.

Spend the afternoon exploring Distillery Botanica and all it has to offer. You can experience the tranquility, beauty and aromas of the Victorian-style cottage gardens. This place has everything! Visit the cafe and have some lunch, treat yourself to an afternoon gelato or relax with a massage and an afternoon gin tasting.

Great for vegans and nonvegans, this beautiful gem is a mustvisit for all walks of life. Dan and his staff were so lovely and accommodating it was a serene visit. We sat in the beautiful greenhouse-like café while the rain poured over the glass walls. It was simply, stunning. We then explored the grounds, and slowly meandered our way to the gin distillery. Here, Ash spoke to us about the history of bar Botanica, and the distillery. We learned so much about gin and brought some home as a souvenir. We spent the rest of the day walking around the beautiful property.

One of the perks of being perched up by the water is the ability to roll out of bed and straight into a kayak on Cockrone Lagoon. Paddle all the way over to the coastline where you’ll have your pick of having a dip at either MacMasters or Copacabana Beach. Don’t miss the rope swing on the way out!
