This charming private colonial-style stone cottage featuring established gardens provides the comfort of home with all the essential modern conveniences you would need to enjoy a relaxing getaway, close to Mansfield and King Valley wineries, Mt Buller and the Victorian snowfields.

This hideaway features breathtaking views, stunning sunsets and starry nights on 24 acres of private country setting, all within 15 minutes of Mansfield. There's plenty for the kids to do while you sit back, relax and enjoy the magnificent scenery and quietness of the country.

Come and meet our friendly Pygmy goats and say hello to Chiquita, Can Can & Rumberella our gorgeous alpacas!

There's plenty to do - you can relax on the deck with a freshly brewed coffee or choose from a variety of different teas and read the newspaper, a magazine or book. Sip a wine or two and enjoy a platter on the deck overlooking the ever-changing landscape of the Mansfield Valley, surrounded by beautiful established gardens and gorgeous friendly animals.

Enjoy a well-deserved holiday beer whilst listening to your favourite music via the bluetooth dock, watching the kangaroos and experiencing the best sunsets ever, followed by an awesome star filled sky. Or just simply snuggle up on the comfy couches in front of the cosy fireplace and be mesmerised by the magic of the flames.

We absolutely loved our stay at Vickie and Ed's beautiful cottage!
The views were stunning, the cottage was an absolute dream, and having the adorable goats at our back steps was amazing!

It was als...o such a pleasure meeting Vickie. She was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful, which made our stay even more enjoyable.

We had the most weekend staying at Stone Creek Cottage for my birthday. The views were absolutely stunning — we could have sat there all day just taking it all in. We absolutely loved the cosy cottage... and the fire, which made it feel so warm and relaxing.

We all absolutely loved the pygmy goats, but our daughter was especially smitten with little Nova, who quickly became her favourite!

The cottage itself had everything we needed and felt so welcoming. Vickie and Ed were incredibly kind and helpful throughout our stay, and their local advice and hospitality were truly second to none.

Highly recommend this beautiful little cottage for anyone wanting a relaxing and memorable getaway. We can’t wait to come back!

Hi there, we are Vickie and Ed. We met during a chance encounter hiking Mt Rinjani on the island of Lombok, over 20 years ago. Vickie (from the UK) and Ed (from the Netherlands) chose to settle in Australia. With a spirit for adventure and both of us with a passion for hospitality, we made a move to Australia. After a ‘scout’ around, we settled on Mansfield, in Victoria’s High Country and then embarked on creating the vision of 'A View to a Hill'. The idyllic setting of Mansfield (Barwite to be specific) ticked all our boxes, year-round tourism draw cards, breathtaking scenery and wonderful local food and produce. After building Stone Creek Cottage in 2005, then establishing gardens and beautiful landscaping, we set our sights on a new challenge, beginning the final stage of our grand project in 2018 BullerRoo. Ed had worked on many architectural designed buildings in Mansfield and Mt Buller, fell in love with many of the design elements. Being a tradesman, he appreciated the attention to detail and craftsmanship, and combined many of these elements – with the difference being the incredible views over the Barwite Valley. We love to welcome guests to enjoy all that the region has to offer and provide great memories for years to come.

Mansfield Farmers Market

We loved getting to know the local farmers and buy some fresh local treats to eat at the cabin. This market is held year-round on the 4th Saturday of the month.

Mansfield Regional Produce Store

THE BEST bacon and egg rolls, plus local produce, coffee, wines and more. We went there both mornings for takeaway breakkie.
